I'm so excited and so nervous at the same time. The youth will begin Bible study tonight at 7 and will also begin work on the music for a Thanksgiving music program. I'm excited and hesitant at the same time. I prayed this morning to help Kathy and I make this a wonderful Godly experience for the kids, that more kids will want to be involved. I should have baked brownies last night but didn't. We played Life instead. Never played it before but is a fun board game. (Still not sure how I came in last after going to college not once but TWICE.lol) I think I'll stop in at the local bakery on my way home to pick up something sweet, sticky and perfect for kid consumption.lol Keep us in your prayers as we get the youth program off the ground!

Ok, so it didn't go quite as wonderfully as I had hoped. We had 4 show up (my boys & the twins) in a monsoon (all looking like drowned rats). We did Bible Study and listened to the track of Awesome God after I gave out the lyrics for the kids to read over. It's one of 3 songs we want them to do for Thanksgiving. While the music is playing, I get summoned to the sanctuary to "meet" our new minister of music. Great! EXCEPT that he puts all of us in the loft and has us sing. I'm already feeling guilty because I've left Kathy with 4 rambunctious boys to meet this person, now I am singing instead of running back to class. I come to the realization when I got home last night that I cannot do both. I will be resigning from the choir this weekend because there are 9 people to complete the choir but only Kathy & I to work with the youth. The youth is where I feel God is leading me to be and has given me a heart for. Ladies, please kep me in your prayers as I only want to glorify God in my actions.

If it seems like a disaster, it probably wasn't.

I hope you are right. I'm going to keep my focus on the kids. I had one of the twins ask me if we could sing Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven in the Christmas program. I giggled and asked him if he knew what the song was about to which he replied a woman who is going to heaven.lol I gave him a big hug and told him we would be exploring some great music.lol I need much prayer.

I hope you had a terrific night and that your group continues to grow both closer to God and in number.
