A little town in the middle of nowhere..... I'd say the name, but i could attract mischief so I will share the name after I'm back... lol.

We are going to meet Zach's Family. I've been told its a old farmhouse with no air conditioning, lot's of cows, goats and chickens. yep we will be there for 3 days. I'm nervous only because my family is very Suburban, VERY! The kids like there AC, TV, PC and PS2. All the initials!....lol Its going to be very interesting. I would appreciate prayers for everyone to get along, and for my kids to find things to do that don't make them skiddish..lol. The thought of stinky animals, and tons of bugs are not apealing to them.... lol or me either for that matter, but I can fake it better! LOL!

Mark won't b making the trip because he starts his new job on Thursday. So I need prayers on that area too.

I'll be praying for you dear. Have you thought about getting each child a tablet and colored pencils for them to draw the things that they encounter at the farm along with a detailed narrative of how those things make them feel? It would be a very good interactive activity that could count as a school assignment. My parents did that with us whenever we went to the cabin at Brown Mountain each summer. There was 5 of us kids and I think my mom wanted to have some sanity while on vacation.lol The last night we were there, we would take turns showing our drawings and reading our narratives in front of the fireplace. My brothers always drawed about snakes, spiders, deer, fish, bears, anything that girls would find icky. Me and my sister drew flowers, butterflies, crickets, waterfalls, you know, girly things. Wonderful wonderful memories! I miss those days sometimes.

Sounds like a great trip, Karen! I especially like Robin's idea -- I hope it's working out great. A trip journal is also a great idea to capture everything they see, do and feel during the trip.
