I think it is a nice dress. but is the ceremony a day time affair or evening? and does she have the body type for the dress? I am not sure about conservative or not. I am going to bet she is in her late 20's or 30's if she is married with kids. So In reality the choice is her's..

If she was a 21 year old I would say let the dress be for

Am I looking at the right dress, a slim grey dress with asymmetrical neckline? I think its a very cute dress and don't know how the neckline is inappropriate for most occasions. From your husband's comment I was expecting something with a lot of exposed cleavage.

She is 35 years old, so yes, she is old enough to pick her own clothes.

I think the dress is very nice and conservative. I'm not sure what you dh finds wrong with it. Maybe he wants something with a turtle neck. lol Since she is in her 30's she is old enough to pick out the dress she wants. If you two go dress shopping and out to lunch you will give her a day to remember. Maybe she is not looking for a mother just a very good friend.

I'd like to also weigh and say that I find this dress absolutely perfectly appropriate.

She is a grown woman, and college graduate, who is married and has her own children. She can wear whatever she wants. I would probably just tell her she will look beautiful no matter what she wears.

I agree with the others; I think the dress is very pretty and perfectly appropriate for an adult, married-with-kids college graduate.

I'm 49 and even I would wear that dress for the right occasion!
