Spending Christmas alone

Today my 2 oldest dd's invited my sister to dd #2 house for Christmas, my sister G is going to dd's house. I've been informed that I'm not welcome at BIL's house (DH wants to go, I'm fine with him going)

It looks like I'm spending the day alone. Well not totally alone, our 3 cats will be with me. And then I get to watch Dr Who Christmas show.

Does anyone else know that they are spending the holiday alone with no in law crappo & not having to deal with my 3 dd's or 3 SIL.

It's so sad to me that not only are your in-laws excluding you but your daughters's too.

Thanks Summer, I'm out in WA state. I can't drink wine due to it causing me to have migraines. LOL, it would be fun to watch others DIL's MIL. (I have done this with my gf's)

I've told dh that I won't stand between him & FOO. He just doesn't get it, that I'm right about his FOO, they treated xsil badly too (then it was MIL & DH) & with MIL demanding that I have to move out of their jointly owned house (we have a pre-nub, so I have no legal claim to any of dh's 3 houses) DH blames my sister for all of the problems we are having.

Interesting about the wine - I used to be able to drink a glass or two with no problem but sometime in the last 2 years I feel like I've developed an allergy to it. One glass and my head wants to explode for 24 hours starting the next morning and lasting the whole day and night! That's ok, Vodka doens't do that so cheers! LOL!!

I would miss the kids, but not the rest of it. I am rarely alone and cherish it when I am.

So after oldest dd got middle dd to switch Christmas day for Christmas eve. DH tells me tonight that "oh by the way my mom is picking me up on her way down to BIL's house, so I'm leaving middle day on Christmas eve and won't be home until the 26th~~and you'll need to come pick me up either at the train station or bus depot"
