Let's see if this "edit" works this time... LOL

Right now Fasching (Mardi Gras)  is being celebrated in  Germany. My worst food enemy therefore is Fasching's Krapfen :  alias decadent fresh jelly donuts!

I like most of them, and there are many kinds , lucky for me I don't care for cream filled donuts.

What food is your worst enemy right now?

Donna,,, oh darn,, you picked up on that detail didn't ya.....  well darn!   Yes I will admit that i'm a sugar addict... and soon will not be,, well let's face it, I will always be one so just have to take the bulls by the horns.  I'm doing well with many sweets though, slowing eliminating them from my diet.  ;O)  Rome wasn't built in a day. LOL

Thia...Me too with the chips, love them!! Before I got serious about dieting (lost 71 lbs last year and am in maintenance now), I used to buy a can of cheese Pringles every three months. Then I would eat the whole can that day. I don't want to get into that habit again even though it was only one can every 3 months. So, I don't buy them. I will eat them at other people's homes though.

That is odd about your hot flashes.

Suzan, you have been in the process of ridding your kitchen of sweets ever since I've known you!! LOL!! Judging by your symptoms and by my own addiction, I'd say you are a sugar addict. It never ends, never ever goes away, but can be controlled. It's so annoying!! I never buy any unless we're having company. Then, if there's any left over when they've left, I eat all of it!! ::sigh::

Oh I love chips. Not to terribly into sweets.

What is weird lately I find that food that is grain related, breads, chips, pasta, will make me have a hot flash.

Not a fan of hot flashes :(

There are no sweets in my house, Suzan except for sugar which I put in my tea. I try not to have sweets around, but do have them once in a while. Interesting on the not starting the day out with sugar. I would be in trouble with that idea though cause I always have sugar in my tea. Some days I can manage to put less in my tea than on other days. lol

Fabulous, Donna, you have things well under control! I like PB with an apple or with banana or even with raisins.

HI D. Chips are something that I never EVER buy . I love them, they are addicting so I stay away from them. I started that habit when my ds was a toddler as I did not want him to eat them , or soda pop, or kool-aid etc. So never bought those items and still won't. Now if only I could muster up the strength to not buy sweets.

Gail, I also have a terrible sweet tooth,,, i'm in the process of trying to rid my kitchen of sweets (candy, cookies etc).   Low fat fruit yoghurt helps when I have a craving.  I can get pretty jittery when I don#t have my sweets.  I have heard though that if one starts out the day with a breakfast that doesn't include sweets (jam, jelly etc) then the cravings during the day won't be as bad.    ;O)

Oh, yum, I love cream filled donuts!! My favorite is a Barvarian Creme or Bismark..same thing..with chocolate glaze. That's not an "enemy" food, though, as I very rarely buy them.

Peanut butter has been an enemy in recent weeks. PB isn't bad, but I was eating too much. I eat it by the rounded spoonful. I seem to have that under control now though.

Chips was an enemy, but I don't buy them anymore.

I guess I really don't have a food enemy at the moment. Now that I'll be starting into weightloss maintenance beginning tomorrow, I'll have to see what my enemies will be!
