I did have a biopsy done one year,, it was all fine, but just better that they check it out. (sign of a good dr ) When I saw that long needle coming at me though I thought "OMG" but amazingly enough I hardly felt it at all..... actually didn't feel a thing. Have fun at your dd's vball game,,,

that is an excellent article Donna.

You might consider that as one of your lecture themes for TOPS (going into the winter: getting fit ) because many people that are dieting are eating differently than their norm and wear themselves down and the first thing that suffers is the immune system. (just food for thought )

I was ill a lot last winter,,, hoping it will not be like that this year, I will take care of myself and we won't be travelling as much (plane travel= sure fire cold germs).   I did stay home all day yesterday and read and finished my book, did minor chores like throwing away my dead flowers,  LOL.     As for the article,  I do all those things and more when I feel something coming on.  I do not drink coffee, drink enough water, take multiple vits and an additional Vit c (same as lemons: ascorbic acid)  and minerals  and essential whatevers, I get out in the fresh air, I make sure the house is aired out every day /2x's) : that was not on the list but very important even in winter,  another thing is to keep the house temp down,, steam and radiator heat is so bad for the respiratory system,,, I just wear socks or slippers and a light sweater if I feel too cool,  etc etc.   The only thing I don't have is a good circle of friends so have no outlet to just have some girl talk.  (probably why I get so chatty here).  Actually I have no friends.  Of course the elimination of sugar is always problematic for me, but have begun doing that : step by step .

Take care of yourself too Donna.

Thank you for the words of encouragement Donna.  I needed that.  I do tell myself this all the time but nice to hear it from others, which I do hear from  my dh all the time,, he's very good at cheering my on.    I have a lot to be thankful for and am. Yes, having encouraging support from a loving partner or spouse is an enormous treasure in life. We can both be thankful for that.

I woke up with that headache today and realized that my nose is stuffy, throat is "thick and scratchy" and I 'm feeling cold  and tired.  (sigh)  So  thinking that is most likely what was bringing on those headaches. I started Vit C and echinacea yesterday and will drink some peppermint tea and watch dvd's today...  (Downton Abbey)  and just rest and fight it off.  ;O)
Threw in a laundry and that's it for today. (dinner for tonight was made yesterday : chicken stew new recipe)    It's raining outside and generally cold and nasty, so a good day to rest.   Promise!

Oh, no, darn that you're sick again!! It seems it's been awhile since you were last sick, but it must not be enough time yet for your immune system to build up. I remember you being sick a lot in the last year. Hope this winter is not going to be a repeat of that! Here's a website I found with some good advice and tips for increasing immunity....

Good you can take it easy today! Sounds like a good day to stay put and stay warm and cozy!! Okay, you promised!! I'll hold you to it...don't make me come out there!! <w>

Thanks Suzan.  No, never had them done before.  I guess you have?  It just seems like a bother I want to get over with.

I hope you're not getting a cold!  Sounds like we will have similar weather this weekend.  It's already cloudy here, and expecting rain all weekend (yay!).  I hope to be reading and watching something,  not get caught up in housework all weekend.  Tonight we will go to dd's vball game and that's about it for the weekend.

Are you liking Downton Abbey?

Take care, drink something warm and rest.

Good attitude!! That's how I am, too, when they call me back for a sonogram.
