Just trying to watch my food intake and hopefully I will start losing the extra weight--not a lot, 10 lbs. Just enough to be uncomfortable (lol).

We want to get a treadmill and have one picked out. DH wants to call the insurance people to see if they will help pay--he needs it for contined therapy on his leg. And insurance will only pay for a certain number of days. He has to walk backwards on it. I just want it so I can get more exercise without getting out in the heat and humidity here in the summer. Walking is the one exercise I like doing anytime.

Good for you for losing that pound and being happy, Ann.
I always way more on the doctor's scale because I have on all my clolthes--what I really need to do is weigh myself after I get dressed and am on my way out the door. Then I would have a better comparison.

Me too Michelle, love to walk especially in open fields or the forest,, but anyplace will do. Love it.
Hope your insurance co will pay for the treadmill,,,, wow walking backwards on it,,, not sure I would try that one myself LOL

Yes, I was surprised I'd lost any, because I had my clothes on and was wearing my boots! I should weigh myself fully dressed and see what

Why does your dh have to walk backwards on the treadmill? That sounds awfully hard to do!

He has to walk backwards to stretch the achillies tendon and strengthen his ankle. It all stems from his stroke he had in 2000 and he was totally paralyzed on his left side--he did recover use of his leftside, but as he gets older he will continue to have more problems. The speed has to be adjusted to a very slow setting on the treadmill.

Ann..Congrats on losing that pound!!

Michelle...Hope that 10 lbs comes off fast! Interesting that your husband's walking therapy is walking backwards.

Teri...Good you're on track and lost a pound!! You have a good amount of time to reach your goal by Septemger! Betcha you can do it!!

Suzan...How are you doing? Cold gone? Aches and pains under control? Hope you're doing well!

Hilary...Are you getting well?? Miss seeing you here! Hope you're feeling much better.

I've been staying on track through February for the Challenge we have going on at TOPS! It ends this Tuesday night and I am so ready for it to be over so I can eat some of my Girl Scout cookies!!! LOL At weigh-in last Tues night, I gained 2.6 lbs from the family party we had. We get to take one day off each week and I took that day way off!! lol Of course I went right back on track again though.
