SB HEALTHY ME: Jan 14th - 20th



Please share the things you did to work towards a *healthier* and therefore *happier* you!

Exercise: Any exercise whether it was walking, housework, going to the gym, gardening! All activity counts.

Healthy diet choices: You made, or didn't make!

Water: Did you drink enough?

Diet Plan if applicable: For those going to TOPS, Weight Watchers or similar we would really like to know how you are going.

Been tracking mine and dh's food intake and both of us are doing pretty fair. Managed a short walk today. The chocolate and pizza I ate today wasn't exactly the best choices, but I pretty much balanced it out with the rest of my food choices and besides I had to celebrate a little today ; ). Have done well on water (tea).

Tracking food isn't exactly my idea of fun, lol. Thanks, Hugs, we're off to an okay start so far.

Exercise: LOTS of housework- my glutes were hurting from all the up & down stairs...lol. Monday I walked on my lunch, I have been trying to stand more at work, I really need to stretch & tone !

Healthy diet choices: Making healthier meals, stopped eating 3 mini candy bars each day- just 1, I bought light bread so I can have a full size sandwich.

Water: Did you drink enough? I need to drink more

Diet Plan if applicable: For those going to TOPS, Weight Watchers or similar we would really like to know how you are going. I'm not going to any of these. I am following WW & a plan I got from a friend- she does Fit on the Fly- going around the country. Great person & program.

I know it's not fun tracking food Gail,
BTDT & do it mentally now.
What site are you using these days for that?
Last one I used was my fitness pal.
Was & still do have the app on my phone & ipad so that helps me
Glad you did get out & maybe walked off that pizza & chocolate <wibk>

Have been out of the habit of tracking food intake so don't think I could do it mentally............how wonderful that you can do it mentally, Hugs! Using fitday as I always have. Don't think I'd like trying a new site, would be like starting over. Don't use an app on my phone either, I just try to figure out what dh and I are going to eat for the day, try to balance it all out and try to adjust as needed if we happen to eat something different. lol Am thinking I need to do a whole lot more walking to work off the chocolate and pizza.........Thanks, Hugs!!

I have use my fitness pal for a while.
Your site would be strange to me, LOL
Glad to hear you figure it out for the day & hopefully within the range you need to be .
Well there is always tomorrow or the next day for working off what we eat :)

I'm going back to tracking my foods and calories again starting tomorrow. When I measure & weigh foods and count calories, it is always an eye opener to see just how much I'm really eating. Soooo..we're in a new challenge at TOPS and I'll be filling out my food chart every day, including calories, for at least the next six weeks that the challenge is going on.

I did lose a pound at weigh in tonight..whew! I have six more to lose by next Tuesday! I can do this!!

I slacked off on exercise, too, and will be getting back on track with that starting tomorrow too. Good luck to all of us with our exercise!!

I can stand to drink a bit more, too, and will be doing that also. Geez, girls, this is going to be one heck of a good week for all of us if we do what we need to do!! Go us!! :)
