Made a good start to this week. Dh and I went bushwalking yesterday for a few hours. Sunny but quite cold walking along the creek. 12,000 steps. I was happy dh came with me and we plan on doing more walking over the coming weeks. We both decided we spend too much time in front of our computers. Would love to go away but I know if we did BabyMac would arrive and we would have to come home!

I bought one of those *healthy choices* type packet meals to try. Thinking I will have one of those every now and then when dh has sandwiches for lunch. Quick and convenient although the first one I tried wasn't that great.

Drank lots of water and there are always lots of smiles around here these days. Little kids do that to you

Hope everyone has a happy and healthy week!

Do you ever see any scary critters while out bushwalking?? Just the term "bushwalking" sounds a bit scary to this ignorant American who has never been to Australia!! LOL!! Nice your husband walked with you. He could protect you from the scary things..LOL!!

Healthy Choice is the brand that I eat occasionally when I don't feel like cooking, but want something hot. I have 2 or 3 favorites and stick with those. They're not like home cooking, but not bad. My husband, on the other hand, buys "Anything But Healthy" choices..LOL!!

Enjoy those little kids smiles and hugs while you can!! You blink your eyes and they've grown a foot or more!!

Too funny Donna,,,, I was thinking the same thing about the "bushwalking",,,,,, I watched Crocdile Dundee so know what's lurking out there. Wonder if Hilary's dh carries one of those machetes with him to protect our Hilary...

Crocodile Dundee is a good example!!

I was also wondering what her husband does to protect our Hilary!!
A machete sounds like a good sensible idea to me too!! ;)

We see snakes and spiders quite often but not a problem if you steer clear. I wouldn't want to step on a snake but they tend to hear you coming and slither away! We see wallabies too and echidnas occasionally. The bush is full of birds which I love.

I think those meals are ok and they will keep me honest at lunchtime. I am encouraging dh to eat his white carbs at lunchtime because I have told him NO MORE at night. He is ok with that so hopefully a few pounds will come off soon. All jokes aside, there isn't that much of dh but he could use a pound or two offa his tummy LOL!

We do talk things over when walking Suzan but sometimes, and I bet it is like this when you walk in the forest with Coffee and your dh, it is nice to just walk silently and listen.

I didn't get out and about much yesterday so will make an effort today. Diet will be fine because I am on a roll at the moment LOL!

You two behave! No machetes! I say I wouldn't walk alone in the bush but sometimes I do get nervous even with dh there. As kids we would crash around through the bush and down to a waterhole every day. Times have changed and there are some not very nice people out there. I feel safer with company and it is always good to hike with someone in case of an emergency.
