Another Xmas chore finished!

I put seasonal music on, hauled out everything to wrap, and all the wrappings, a pair of scissors, a pen, a dispenser of tape and some refills for the tape dispenser, and sat down (on the floor, as tradition dictates) to wrap gifts! What with the losing of the tape twice, the pen once, and the scissors once so completely I had to go get another pair, it took me ages to do it! I'd say at least an hour and a half.
See, you're getting it wrapped up, so to speak.
When you wrap gifts, do you use actual boxes or do you use
I could *almost* visualize you doing all this Ann
You did all of that for an hour and a half ON THE FLOOR?!! OUCH!!! My back hurts just thinking about it...and then you had to get up off of the floor...Groannn!!! lol
I also do about half and half wrapped boxes and gift bags. When using a gift bag, I often wrap the gift with tissue paper secured with a decorative sticker first before putting it into the bag with more loose paper tucked in. I also use ribbons and bows on boxes and ribbons on bags.
Congratulations, you are really chugging ahead with the XMAS chores ;O)
I don't really like gift bags, my ds dislikes them also .
That's what I was thinking Donna!
you are way ahead of me, ann. i have yet to wrap one gift, lol.
mostly i will use boxes and wrap the presents. there are only one or two that will go in a bag.
Well, it wasn't a whole hour and a half straight on the floor. There was some getting up and looking for lost things, and getting replacements for them, and I sat at the table for about half an hour making book strings and eating lunch before returning to the floor. So the actual time on the floor was about 1 1/2 hours, but the whole thing took about 2 hours or so. And, yes, the getting up was always a project, but the floor is the only place big enough for me to spread everything out.
