Have you already planned your Christmas dinner?

(I'm serving a simple version of my Thanksgiving dinner on Christmas:
as we went out to the buffet on Tday.
Ds want MY turkey. It will be just dh, me, ds and dil & Coffee)

Do you prepare something special on Christmas eve also?

(nothing special for dh and myself)

Dmil is fixing a small ham and turkey along with potatoes and gravy. Family will bring other fixins for dinner. I'll bring pies like I always do, plus am going to make some mac and cheese to take along.

Sounds like a wonderful dinner, Bunny. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner is always buffet style at my in-laws, but it generally a surprise as to what everyone brings. For T-day, we had two green bean casseroles along with every thing else.

mo and i thought we had it all planned but this one wants this and that one wants that so it's changed completely.

we will have fried turkey, cornbread dressing, stove top stuffing (for my daughter in law and her dad) canned yams (for my daughter), candied sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, little ears of corn (for rose), creamed carrots, and rolls. i think that's it.

then for dessert we are having apple pie, pumpkin pie, mincemeat pie, cranberry nut bread, date and nut bread and a ton of cookies.

My Xmas menu:

Salmon (stuffed)

Scallops

Cocktail Shrimp

Baghali Pollo (lima bean/dill rice)

Salad

Garlic bread (Costco has an awesome selection of artesian breads)

Pie (probably cherry and/or apple) or crisp

Crisp,,,, I want crisp! Love the stuff!
Love your menu. We bought a beautiful salmon on Saturday. It was from the Norwegian Fjords and I have to admit it was delicious.
