I get a print out from my doc that shows my current levels, what the last reading was and what they want it to be. I'll work on getting my weight down and hope it will bring my blood sugar down, too.

I htink there there is a chart with high and low you unless you are planning to be preggos , the level needs just to be within that range. (what I heard anyway...)
It seems like it was a good result overall.... weight , well we know what we have to do there and that will probably bring down the blood sugar....

My voice is better than it was in the months after the surgery, stronger and not as weak and breathy. But it will never be what it was originally.  It still fades when I have to raise my voice (frustrating when I'm mad or trying to be heard over any distance or in a crowd) and it gets hoarse and scratchy when I use it too much (that amount varies, lol).

I remember well the frustration and fears you had before and after surgery. So glad you've come this far and you're talking better!! If it makes you feel any better, when I raise my voice too much, it makes me cough and my voice gets scratchy too and I've not had that kind of surgery!! It's okay, we can still get our points across..lol!

As for singing... I still sing. I just can't stop myself, lol. I do okay. I can't belt out a show tune like I was known to do on occasion (alone, cleaning), but that might be a good thing, lol. Also, I have a very limited range now, mostly lower notes. But I was never all that good (high school choir - no solos quality) and never could sing soprano, so it's no big loss. I sing for me now - and pity any poor souls who might overhear me.

Wonderful!! You were so worried you'd never be able to sing again!! So happy for you!! You don't have to have a great voice to enjoy singing! I posted this on FB, maybe you saw it, I love this!! Just keep on singing.......
