DECEMBER Roll Call & Celebrations

I think both my parents at at 85 and 87 can drive, and drive well. The other day dh and I were driving and a couple of *old* ladies made a right turn in front of oncoming traffic against a red light! Fair dinkum I thought someone was going to die! All was ok and the old lady driving was obviously quite shocked, as was her passenger. They proceeded up the hill made another turn and headed into a *Club* parking lot where they were obviously going to play the pokies all day. What I am trying to say is that at the age of 85 plus and for some earlier, those little lapses of concentration or slowness to react can cause an accident. Weighing things up in MY mind I am thinking it should be more about the public than the person whether someone can drive and I don't think people should be driving at my parent's age even if they can .... My Dad would explode if he heard me say this. He IS a good driver ...................
