hoping you all have a nice weekend what ever you are planning (or not)

We are still battling snow here,,, it 's a fine snow, coming down lightly but never stops,,,  have to take dil & Mike to the pediatrician today, (first time for me and the car seat etc, hope dil knows how to get that thing in and out as I have no clue.  LOL (anyway, I can lift him and the car seat together: just too heavy for me.)

No other plans this weekend.  (other than shoveling snow LOL) Parking is really difficult right now with all the snow, the streets in Munich (Europe) are really tiny and when the plow goes thru (WHEN they do,,, hahahah),  parking is nilch.  Which leaves the mall, but those are crowded on snowy or rainy day for sure.   We'll see.

Ann, I know you like Harrison Ford.   I watched patriot games last night... that was exciting.   (on TV so had to endure the commericals ugh) .   A couple weeks ago the showed him in Witness, I like that film too....

See U all over the weekend, (when and if I can sign in ).....

Suzan..About car seats. This is bringing back fond memories of when  my youngest grandlove was old enough that I felt comfortable taking all four grands with me about town. By then, the oldest met the requirements to where she could sit in the front seat without a childs seat. In the back seat of my car, I had three car seats, one for each child and they were so darned cute sitting there together!!

I took all of them to a Dollar Store one time so they could shop with the little bit of cash I had given each of them to buy whatever they wanted. I had them use the "buddy system" as they two and two held hands. So cute in the store!! Of course my boys (now ages 11 & 12) would never ever hold hands like that today..LOL!! Wish I had taken their pictures in the store back then. When we were getting back into my car and I was strapping the last one back into the car seat, I heard a woman passing by say to her companion, "Boy, she's brave!!" LOL! They were good kids, I never had a problem with them.

I always had my own car seats for my grands. It was so much easier that way than remembering to move the seats from one car to another. I had grands almost every day, so kept my car seats in my car all the time unless I was going to take adult people with me somewhere. In fact, I just recently gave away my remaining two booster seats to a friend who still has younger grands. Sad to see them go as none of my grands need them anymore.

Ann...I hope something has come up to make your weekend less boring. We're glad we didn't have much going on today. I just got my nails done and picked up my alterations and when I got home dh ran to the grocery store for me as I was out of eggs and he put gas in my car. That's it! Tonight we'll fix dinner and then watch a movie. Nice to just relax.

Hugs...Marketing, errands and chores..oh my! Bet your dh just wanted to relax?! Stuff has to get done though.

So, did your son come "home" today? When will the home that he lives in become his home? lol! Did you shop for a new car for him? Find one?

Hi everyone! Megan here.

Getting used to daily life in NYC again. Crazy cold up here, and getting used to wearing boots, skinny jeans, and large coats again. Gotta take it easy on some other articles of clothing, though. I wore a pair of six-inch heels to a meeting earlier this week. My poor piggies got so sore, my heels were off halfway during the meeting, and I walked barefoot back to my apartment (I'm used to walking barefoot in cold temps, so it's not out of the ordinary). I'm kinda wishing that guy from the beach that gave me that foot rub came back to NY with me, because I needed one so badly.Kiss

Accidentally pulled a muscle while I was weight training a few days ago, hurt so bad. Gonna take a break off of that, I was moaning like a baby all day that day.Cry

Lost a few pounds from my "Florida splurge" haha. My jeans still take an extra effort to fit (still have to lie down on my bed to button up). But, I'm getting back to my usual, healthy figure. Smile

Yes, I had no problem with today's assignment, either. I keep 2 issues of 3 magazines and the oldest goes out when the new one comes in.

Well, we didn't do much today, and I'm feeling a little out of sorts, but trying not to infect dh with my mood. Hopefully tomorrow will bring something fun to help shift my mood to something more upbeat.

Well, the weekend is almost over - so I can tell you what we did rather than our plans! It was a quiet weekend thank goodness.  DH and I are still recovering from the flu - we feel okay, just kind of dragging . . .

Friday night we did nothing except eat a light dinner.  I feel asleep for over an hour right after dinner and still was able to go to bed on time and fall asleep.

Saturday I tended to some paperwork and did a computer back up for DH and did some housework.  That evening DH and I watched basketball.

This morning we went to church and then went out to breakfast with a friend whose DH is out of the country. We had a great breakfast and a nice visit.  This afternoon, I put a new label on a baby quilt - can you believe I put the wrong name on it? The baby's father emailed me - I felt so bad! Then I did a bit of cooking and a lot of football and basketball watching.

I hope you all had a good weekend.

Teri
