I don't know how it happened, but I'm glad it was caught quickly.

i know that is not fun, ann. we have had to do it before and it is a pain in the neck.

i was told that people can take a picture of your credit card on their cell phone and get your number while you are paying for something. technology is not so great when things like that happen.

Ann a good friend of mine called me last night just to chat. The same thing happened to one of her daughters and her daughters roommate. Over $500 had been charged on

I don't pay for a lot of things in stores with the card, just groceries, mostly,

Yes, it's all okay now, I think - and hope!

We had something similar happen with dh's card that we use for business purposes. The day after I had just used the card for an online purchase with a company we've done business with before, dh got a call about a charge to the card. So that means the employee I spoke with tried to use the card, but didn't get away with it thankfully.

It really a shame that some people try to get away with things that they shouldn't. Hope you don't run into that problem again.

Ann, that happened to both my husband and I too!! It was on Chase credit cards for both of us. We each have our own card, different numbers, and neither of us is authorized to use each other's card, nor is anyone else. It happened within a month or so of each other. The charges were from parts of the country that we'd never been to before and each from a different part of the country than the other. The one on my card was for almost $300. for some electronic equipment, I don't remember how much the one on husband's card was.

Oh my what a nasty thing to happen. As with Hilary, over here it's automatic teller machines that are the problem.. Ann, banks themselves have problems with bank cards but they'll never admit to that. Just glad that it was caught early on!
