Well we arrived safe and sound,, and thought we had left all the snow behind, but when I got up this morning it had snowed, so dh & I were out shoveling this morning early so he could get out to work.

Good to see you home safe and sound Suzan. Just opened The SB to see that you were! Glad you don't have to go away again for a while. It has been a good day around here. Dh's birthday and we went out for lunch which was nice. Tay and her parents have just left. They surprised us by turning up for dinner .. we bought pizza LOL! I bathed Tay and fed her and gave her a bath. Hey, hang on .. hard work We saw her *walk* for the first time. She is still not that steady on her feet but can walk across a room. Babysitting starts again this Friday. A warm, muggy night here but not complaining. Could be worse .. like snowing! Feet up Suzan and relax and feel better. Time for some reading and bed here .. back tomorrow!

It's good to see you back again! And good you can stay awhile. I think you need the bit of rest and comfort you can get at home.

Happy Birthday to your dh! Wonderful that the kids showed up for dinner,,, great idea to order in pizza. Now that it's just the 2 of us at home here, I try hard not to cook meals that won't be finished in one sitting. (I hate leftovers, hate to eat them , well I do, but don't like too: brat LOL) So when the kids come over unexpectedly (not at all often but ...) then we order in Thai food.

So fun bathing Tay , and feeding her. Glad you got to see her walk a bit. Friday will be a real "work out " for you.

How is your dh 's back now Hilary, hopefully better. What about your cold ... all gone, I hope????? Hilary, my first dr appointment is on Friday ... hope I can get to the bottom of all this. You should see my side on the ribs under the boob,, all black and blue , it was hurting and stiff like it usually is ( thinking it was gall bladder again,, but obviously it's something totally different) . Gettin' old.
TTY tomorrow and hope you had a nice sleep.

Gee here it is 3pm and I have not made it to the couch to read or relax. Well I did call my dil to say hi and make sure she's totally recovered from her cold. So that was a bit of sitting. Finished 3 loads of laundry and completed grocery shopping and put it all away and made some mushroom soup for dinner (the mushrooms were on sale for the day and just large and lovely). Took out the trout and will prepare that too... in the oven. When I finish here I'll definitely get my backside over to the couch to rest.

Didn't make it to the couch yet, but soon (I hope LOL). I force myself to do tooooo much each day... wonder why I have to do this. Anyway, I think I'll see diva on thursday as ds /dil have a meeting they have to go to... so maybe I'll pop over and pick her up. Dil told me she sewed Coffee a white bathrobe. Hope she sends me a photo that I can post here. Wonder if she will sew some matching houseslippers. LOL

For someone supposed to be resting you aren't doing a very good job of it Suzan!

I love mushroom soup with lots of garlic, parsley and dare I say it .. cream!

U R pretty up to date. I have no clue why my side is bruised,,, it was just very painful the other night and then I saw the bruises... but thinking back I've had this side pain for quite a while now, but thought it was either the gall bladder, or muscular or from my bra. It's fading fast though and is looking more like a popped blood vessel or two, hope he can still see the area by Friday.

glad you are all better, that took a long time to cure!

Well my soup had no garlic in it,, (never gave that a thought but will try it next time) and I never use cream in my soups (although I do prefer it to be that creamy) but just too many calories. I use 1/2 skim and 1/2 whole milk and it was just fine.

I never did get to the couch this afternoon. I'm my own worst enemy.
