Riley's first birthday is coming up in about a month and a half (can you believe it?) and I'm stumped as to what to get her!

That's a really cute sofa! I'm not sure where they'd put it, but if they could find a place for it, I'm sure Riley would love it!

I'll have to check with Colleen and see what she might already have in dvd's. I think she's probably got every Disney movie ever made - C is a fanatic for Disney, lol. Baby Einstein is a good idea.

I think she'll like the wagon. I just hope no one else has the same idea! My luck with duplicating gifts is pretty bad.

Great idea! Inexpensive is always good! I love that your oldest child loved This Old House. Probably much better than most cartoons, lol! Riley loves tv and will watch just about anything, but football really captures her attention for some reason.

Can I add an inexpensive fun idea?

Tom liked the idea of a wagon, so I found one that sounds exactly like the one you describe! I think she'll get a lot of use from it.

I will tell u 1 of things I got for my munchkins...( & thier mothers' loved it too..& STILL use it)

A double seater..red wagon....I think made by Step 2 ( or maybe Radio Flyer)....it has retractable seat backs & plenty of room to place feet & seat belts...cup holders....can attach a canopy or umbrella....it is great for apple picking...going to an amusement park..picnic..parades...beach.. Walks...& a good space to tote "things".

My girls loved them... & as I said before STILL use them....it is made of double sided plastic...& a nice swivel

Great minds think alike, lol! We opened accounts for each of our kids when they were born and then over the years made deposits of rebate checks, birthday/holiday/job money, rolled coins and would have $50 deposited to each account once or twice a month when we had extra. Nice little nest egg for the kids and a great teaching tool about finances and saving.

Exactly my thoughts too Twoki, we did that for my ds,,, it REALLY was a great help. My MIL/DIL loved the idea back then and would add to it whenever they came to town. It was fun and yes different.
