I needed a day like this!

We just got in from our Door County trip and it was SO nice! We started out from here about 6 AM and got to Fish Creek and the White Gull Inn about 9. The place was charming from the first glance. A bed and breakfast that has suites, rooms and cottages available to stay in (pricey, but maybe someday). We were welcomed warmly and seated in a cozy, homey room full of turn of the century furnishings, pretty displays of china and very pretty red and white china on the tables (and warm coffee cups! How do they keep the cups warm? I didn't see them put them on as we sat down). We ordered the Cherry Stuffed French Toast, as we had intended.... Oh My God.... If you ever find yourself anywhere near Fish Creek Wisconsin you HAVE to have this breakfast! It was by far the best thing I have ever tasted! Two slices of perfectly done french toast, each consisting of two slices of bread with a cherry cream cheese filling between them, dusted with powdered sugar and tart, Montmercy cherries strewn on top and around them. I don't think I've ever had a better breakfast. I have had desserts that were not as good as this french toast! It truly deserved GMA's award of Best Breakfast in America. I should have ordered half an order, because I couldn't finish both pieces. But then I couldn't have taken half of it home for breakfast tomorrow! I'm glad we went in the off season, though. Door County is a tourist based kind of place so in November it is very quiet, but it seemed as if everyone in the county was at the White Gull Inn! Not that it was crowded, but it was much busier than anywhere else we'd seen on the way up (although it was early) and I can only imagine how busy it must be in the spring and summer! Here is the url of their website. I think the french toast is the breakfast shown on the main page. When we finished breakfast, we wandered around the area, taking a few pix and enjoying the drive, then stopped at a little winery and shop where we bought some cherry wine (can you tell Door County is proud of their cherries?) to bring to Colleen's for dinner Thursday and some fudge (which, truthfully, isn't that great). Then we just headed back, stopping to give Brian the turkey and chat a bit with him about Thursday. I really had a nice time and I really needed a day like this after the not so great couple of months I've had! And, off topic, but just wondering, what the heck happened to my text choices, like bold and colors? Is iV punishing me further for using Internet Explorer?

That sounds great Ann, the toast was well worth the trip then . Sounds like a really interesting place , would love to see it.
As for the editing and other perks, there is some sort of quirk in the system and it's being fixed. It's been on and off now for days. Not internet explorer, I use that,, no problem with it.
