Good morning everyone, reporting in from a very cold & lightly snowing Munich.
I have visions of sandy beaches in my brain today.

Hope you all have a wonderful week.

My stuff:

Cleaning lady arrives at 1:30 today.
I will do a load of laundry this morning, take out trash, pick up a bit.
Believe it or not I was a total slob this weekend while dh was away.
Felt wonderful LOL

Dh  & ds arrive home tonight.

Yesterday dil & I walked to the restaurant in the afternoon and had "lunner"  and then back again, picked up cake at the bakery we passed on the way home and dil made homemade organic fruit tea for us to warm up.  It was quite a walk for me, but I could walk pretty well holding the carraige,  it seems to keep me stabil. Diva came with us of course.  We gave Mikie a warm bath when we got back and we started to organize baby clothing. Mikie is now 11 weeks old but in the next size: 3-6 months (which I noticed are none too big either)  All those bins of  newborn & up to 3 months clothing &socks are a thing of the past YIKES).  He's a nice big healthy boy (not fat just healthy with big feet!  )    I've been really tired nights so sleeping around 9:30.  Playing grandmother is really really tiring LOL

Wednesday:  taking coffee for her spa day, although since it's below zero they probably will not want to bathe her.

Nothing else planned except I have to return a pair of shoes I bought in the fall, as one of the eyelets for the shoestring came out and as I pulled it to tie it ripped thru the leather.  I'm hoping the store will be able to repair or replace.  They were not cheap shoes and that should not happen. We'll see , since I no longer have the sales slip.  At least I am in their computer.

I had a very nice weekend with Colleen, Brian and Riley. We didn't do much, just stayed around here mostly and watched the Packer game Saturday evening (they lost, boo), but I always like having them around. Riley is as cute as ever, lol, and amazes us all with how quickly she picks up on things.
The only dark spot in the day was when one of our sisters in law called to tell us the mom of another SIL had died. We didn't know her well, but we'd seen her on occasion so, mostly in support of our SIL, we'll make a quick day trip up north on Wednesday to go to the visitation.

I'm stuck at home today because T's car was acting weird over the weekend and he didn't trust it to get him to work and back, so he had to take my car (sigh). He says he'll get a part and fix his tonight. I hope so, because I have to go to the doctor tomorrow.
Tuesday, tomorrow, as I just said, I'm seeing my oncologist to get the result of the TGH (or something like that) test. Fingers crossed that the level is low, but I don't hold out much hope for that. What he'll suggest if it is still high is anyone's guess.  But I won't worry about that until I know what's up.

Wednesday we'll go up north to pay our respects to our SIL's mother. It'll be a pretty short visit, with a lot of driving involved, but we think it's what we should do.

Thurs. and Fri. are free, as far as I know.

Suzan, I can't believe you were a total slob! I think you should come to my house and see what total slobbiness looks like, LOL! I agree, though, it does feel great to do now and then!

I hear you about Mikie outgrowing his clothes! Riley is just over 18 months old and is solidly in a 2T size! But she isn't really fat, either - just healthily large, lol! And I know, too how tiring grandmothering can be. I was ready for a nap by the time C, B, and R left and I'd straightened up. But it's worth the tiredness to have the joy of being a grandma!

Good luck returning the shoes.

Hi Ann,

I'm sorry to hear about your SIL's mom passing on. (())

Good luck with your test on Tuesday, let us know what they say, thinking it will take a couple days to get the result.   Will be thinking about you.   Hope T gets his car fixed, otherwise I guess he'll have to car pool it to work with someone else.. . if that is even possible.

Did you all like Colleen's new car?  Did it pass Tom's inspection? ;O)

Well I just didn't have the energy to do a thing, I tried but then gave up, figured today would be a good day to pick up and then have the cleaning lady do the vacuuming.   It's done now and I feel good about it,, and after this post i'm off to the couch to play "couch potato" for my last couple free hours...  LOL

Well Riley is a toddler and an active one so has to be watched and chased around, I can't imagine what THAt will be like .   Mikie is still mainly sleeping and eating and smiling and learning where his mouth is and not much more, but STIll is tiring.   Hopefully when Mikie gets Riley's age I'll be all better and walking well and have enough strength to pick him up or play with him.

Suzan, actually the test was last week. Tomorrow I find out what the level is and what to do about it if it's still high.

Yes, Colleen's car is very nice. It's a Saturn Vue, (I think I told you that), black and has way more room for Riley and her stuff than her little Sunfire did, lol. Tom approves of the engine and whatever other technical stuff he and Brian talked about. Colleen and I took a drive in it to go get some pizza and it's nice inside, too, lol. Rides smoothly and quietly and is very roomy. If I didn't love my old car so much, I might be jealous, lol!

I don't know what we'll do if Tom can't get his car fixed. Maybe he'd drive it anyway. It runs, but starts and acts oddly sometimes and he didn't want to trust it that far if he didn't have to. Or I could reschedule my appt, which I'd rather not do, or get a ride to the doc from my friend, which I'd really rather not do. Nice as she is, and even though she said she's available if I need her, I don't want to impose.

I'm glad you both liked her new car.  I know both our kids are old enough that we don't need to worry about every little thing anymore, but we do anyway,,, right?  So now you know that she and Riley will be safe and comfy in her new car.  That's a really nice feeling.

Again , hope T's car works so you can be independent to get yourself to the dr.  I agree with you about not wanting to postpone the appointment, better to get in there and see what's going on and if needed what to do about it... or to just get the news that the level is improving.
