Ladies Poll: How often and when do you kick off your shoes?

Another random poll, lol. How often do you kick your shoes off, and where? Our sociology professor was discussing societal norms, and how women will often take their shoes off almost anywhere for comfort.

I always take mine off as soon as I hit the door, although I had quite the surprise last week when I kicked my heels off at the door and put my bare feet on my hardwood floor (it was freezing here in NYC!). I had to bunny hop all the way back to my bedroom carpet haha.

I usually will also take off my shoes (if I'm wearing flip flops or flats) during class and at the library when I'm studying. The library has these nice circular tables that double as foot rests, where I can prop my tootsies up and relax while studying or working on my laptop. If I'm in a cozy enough place like a bookstore or coffee house, and it's permitted, I'll also ditch the shoes and put up my feet.

So, Sand Box ladies, how often do you ditch the shoes? Kiss

I ditch my shoes any time I can Laughing My slippers & flip flops are next to the stairway. So when I come in from outside, the shoes come off & on they go- flip flops are for the warmer days.My floors are freezing and I LOVE to be barefoot as much as possible. I take my rollup slippers with me when visiting my sisters & nieces. We all have a no shoes in the house policy

At work in the office I will kick my shoes off at the front counter where I work and in the break room. Now if I could only do that at the store.....

I'm the same way at home, I don't wear shoes at all at home. The most that I'll wear are flip flops in the summer, spring, and fall, and perhaps socks in the winter. My family when I was growing up had a "no shoes in the house" policy as well, so that's probably what influenced me.

If I'm wearing flip flops, flats, or heels, I almost always take them off during class and sit barefoot "pretzel style" on my chair. Sometimes that's dangerous, though. One time, my legs and feet fell asleep from sitting that way too long, and I almost fell off my chair.Surprised

I wear shoes when I have to, but whenever possible, I've got them off. I take them off almost as soon as I walk in the door and only put them on when running errands or going somewhere I can't be barefoot. I even drive (or ride) barefoot much of the time in the summer, putting my sandals on only to go into a store, where shoes are required.

As often as I can get away with it :)

Winter time I must wear slippers in the office (home) as it is too cold not to, but the rest of the year, if I can get away with it, barefoot all the time.

I kick my shoes off when driving, I have long toes, prehensile, and can grip the brake and gas pedal..weird eh? I actually feel more comfortable driving barefoot than with shoes.

I kick them off under the table at a restaurant if I can get away with it or anywhere I can, I just am not a fan of shoes. I own a pair of tennis shoes, sandals and slippers, oh and one pair of slip on ballet type shoes for formal wear. I wish I could wear flip flops but hate anything between my toes.

I tend to drive barefoot sometimes (probably 90% of the time during summer). Feels so much more comfortable, especially when you've been wearing heels.

Some days, when it's hot in NYC, I'll even take off my heels and walk barefoot. My feet are healthy enough to be used to walking on gravel and sandwalks, so it's totally comfortable. Smile
