So sorry you and your family are having to go through this--there is no winner when it comes to the break up of a family! OMG, just saw that the police were involved--stay safe. Just know we are here for you,
Glad your weekend went well, Ann; but yes it is always nice to be home again with all your own familiar things! Good luck with the vocal cord procedure--we'll be thinking of you!
Monday...I went with husband in the morning to do his Red Cross volunteer work. He delivers meals to low income homebound. Then we went out for breakfast. That afternoon we visited the open house of our church denomination's new facility for the homeless. It's so nice and it's much bigger than the last location. They feed 180 people a day on an average plus provide a place to shower, wash clothes, get medical help, counseling, place to sleep and to get them back into the workforce and in their own home again. We learned more about who are homeless and why and how they are helped. They have an 85% success rate of helping people to get work and a home, furniture, schooling for the kids, medical needs, etc. Those who they are not able to get working again are mentally ill or alcoholics or both. Husband and I would like to volunteer there together, but the things that volunteers do are too physical for me with my limitations. After dinner, we watched a movie, Planet of the Apes, it was good. It was a good day!
Tuesday...My weigh-in at TOPS is tonight and then out to Applebees with two of my sis-in-laws who also go to the meeting.
Wednesday...Busy day of errands and buying my grandson a birthday gift.
Thursday...No plans.
Friday...No plans.
Saturday...Birthday party for my oldest grandson who turns 12.
Sunday...The usual Sunday school & church and out for Chinese dinner.
