No graphics this week, my clip art is over 2 MB,,,   is anything under at least 1 KB these days????? My goodness gracious.

Just trying to carry on as if nothing happened on ivillage last week..... so what's up this week?

I'm interested in knowing if everyone is able to read the replies now?
Of course I think I can read them all but then again if I can't I probably wouldn't even know it.... LOL
(A little bit of humor will help us all now) LOL

Well, now that you're back, it at least feels a little like the old SB, lol!   I can read replies and post with no problems, but I do miss the feature of seeing when there are new posts in a thread and going right to them! This new format just seems clumsy and a big step backward.

Okay! Enough whining! Today I have laundry to do and some errands (as usual).
Tomorrow is open.
Wednesday I go meet and consult with the radiation oncologist and see what he thinks is the best option for treatment. Probably will be a series of small zaps of radiation on the spot on my spine every weekday for about 2 weeks. Not fun and a little scary to think of, but better than surgery or chemotherapy.  Also, since it's supposed to be 75 degrees and not raining, I'll finish cleaning up the gardens (cutting back the hostas, putting away the gazing ball (for what it's worth - it's a mess) and the stone cats and fairies.) so Tom can rake leaves over the gardens and "put them to bed".
Thursday looks free and Friday I'll probably be cleaning up a bit in preparation for Colleen's, Brian's and Riley's visit on the weekend.

I was sorry to hear the outcome of your MRI , was of course hoping it was something else not so serious. Well I'll tell you this . When I was in the hospital with my problem, my "bedmate" had tumorous spots all along her spine . They took all that out successfully. Then they found one at the very very top of the spine which is essentially right up near the brain inoperable. So they zapped it, ever so milimetric as it can now be done like that.... she had 6 treatments about 2 minutes each zap and she's all fine now. So I say this to you, because I saw with my own eyes that it works and all will be well. Still remember that we're here when you want to talk,,, however cumbersome it is right now on the board. You can always email me,,, and I'll reply, just last week was a busy hectic week for me.. LOL I agree on the format now being a step backward, seems to "simple" or something, uninteresting as you look at the board. Anyway, I agree with you, no more whinning and let's get on with our talks and chatting ... do wish we could add photos though.... have a nice timetoday in the nice weather,,, I've been raking and carting the leaves away , I remember now that I was going to do it your way with the flower beds... what happens then in the spring when the flowers come up,, do they just poke right through the leaves? glad to hear Riley is arriving on the weekend.

Oh, goodie, this feels more like home again!! Have been so missing everyone and all the activity that we all thrive on and live for..lol!! It is so true, though, that women need women to talk to no matter how trivial or important the topic may be!! So good to be back even though their are still glitches to be fixed!! I can still only read replies in IE browser and any replies from posts from before the change over cannot be read anywhere. Hope the other browsers are fixed this week!! Really frustrating not having email subsciption notifications too!! Hard to remember where we posted and search to see if there's a reply! Also not good having some members missing!!

Anyhoo...my week.....

Monday..Just hanging out relaxing all day long!
Tuesday...TOPS meeting.
Wednesday...Going out for breakfast with my sweet hubby to a newish restaurant. It's called Auntie Mae's and they serve breakfast all day long plus other types of good old fashioned bad for you delicious home cooked foods!! Oh my!! lol
Thursday...We might go to the zoo. Will have to walk off that Wednesday breakfast..lol!
Friday...My monthly Christian Womens Club Brunch.
Saturday...No plans
Sunday...Sunday school & church and out for Chinese food.

That's it at this point, but more usually pops up. I need to make an appointment with a gardener lady that I found who will come and really trim our boxwoods well, better than what we do, and do other work with the beds getting them ready for winter.

Suzan...You might be able to link us to larger photos through Photobucket or another photo hosting site.

Have a good week everyone!! Smile

I agree Ann, it feel more like home with our "Mom" Suzan back!! <big smile>

I hope the meeting with the oncologist goes well and you can get that treatment underway soon and then move on with your life. Enough detours for you!! Wonderful that Suzan knows a lady who just went through that treatment very successfully!! Always helpful I think to hear stories like that!

Guess we're all working on the flower beds now for ~~winter~~ Ughhh!!!

Have a great fun weekend with your loved ones!! Always good seeing Colleen and Brian, but those Riley hugs are medicine for the soul!! :)

Yes, the doctor I saw on Friday made it sound like the series of short zaps was the way to go, and I assume the radiation doc I'll see on Wednesday will say the same. Everyone at this Cancer Care clinic are very nice to the patients there, from the doctors (the couple I've seen) to the office staff. My neighbor has offered to drive me or go with me to the treatment sessions, but I told her there really is no need - unless she wants to go shopping afterward, lol!
