A long tiring day..........

Hello good friends! Tiring, but good day. I stayed at the hospital today until it was time to go to my TOPS meeting. Had a longer visit with DGD this time. Sierra's dad and aunt..who are my husband's adult kids..and I were in with Sierra longer this time. DSS and I each held a hand. She lightly squeezed our hands when we first took them. They had reduced her sedation a little, just enough for her to obey commands. When DSS told her to open her eyes, she did a little for a couple of seconds.

Sierra is in good hands and has lots of love surrounding her.
Yes, I know the halo does so much good. They're hoping this will give the bones a chance to grow and lessen the gap between her head and neck. That would mean more natural bone of her own and less doner bone when the fusion surgery takes place.
Thanks Suzan, J isn't all better, but he is well enough to get out some now.
Yes, the halo can be a bit hard to look at, but it does so much good! Colleen's dh was in one for months after he broke his neck in a diving accident at 15.
I'll continue to keep Sierra in my thoughts and prayers.
