March is National Craft Month – what are you currently creating?

I'm working on a memory book of my life and family for my two grown daughters and their families. I'm a slow poke and will be working on this for awhile.

So, tell us about your crafts or projects for March.

Oopsie..I started this thread and then forgot to go back to it to reply!!Embarassed

Ann..any luck yet finding the pictures you want for your coasters? You need one of those seed & plants catalogs for lots of those types of photos. Maybe you could find some wrapping paper in prints that you could use too. That's a really nice gift idea!! Look at these....

Teri..Thanks on my memory book. Just wish I'd remember to do a little each day. You have some great craft projects going on. Nice you still enjoy your quilting too.

Suzan..Are you decorating your trees outside with Easter eggs this year? I remember the photos of them covered with snow. Nice you got your wreath done.

Suzan - I would be in heaven if I could have a week off work to stay home and sew!  I got a lot done a few weeks ago when DH was out of town for 4 nights over a weekend.  I am inspired to keep going, I hope! It is so good for me to sew - it's my therapy!

Hi D:   replying to all

I'm not working on a thing!  I got my easter wreath completed and hung yesterday and that is probably it for this month!

Ann; it will be fun looking for designs for your coasters.... a nice flea market will be a big help...

Teri,  you sure have lots on the fire as you said,,,  you need to take a week off just to work on your craft projects.. all sound really nice. Have fun ;O)

I am working on a few large quilts and I have several baby quilts that I really should be starting soon.  Sometimes if I need something mindless to work on I'll grab my knitting and work on some dishrags.  I have a small purse I started knitting awhile back that I would like to finish to give to a friend for her birthday.  As you can see I really do have too many irons in the fire!  I need to get something done and off my list!

Ann - I think you'll find your coaster decorations as you shop around - maybe wall paper scraps, old cards at garage sales or maybe on ebay? Have fun shopping around and coming up with ideas.

Donna, I love the memory book idea.  I remember you talking about it a while back. I should think about doing something like that for my boys.

I got some papers and backing material for coasters, but haven't done anything with the things yet.  I have ideas for some I'd like to do, but the things I want on them are proving a little hard to find (individual pieces of fruits or vegetables and particular kinds of Christmas cards). So I might work with what I've got, maybe giving the results as gifts if they turn out nice enough, and keep an eye out for the kinds of things I want for future projects.
