I like the clean sleek style, though I do miss my purple font.

Also if you add notes to Jess's Message Board Fixes, she is working closely with us and the techs and giving them all your issues and concerns so the more you tell us the more we can take care of. Hi Thia,
I've been MIA for the past few days for personal reasons, has little to do with the launch of the new format here. Thia, I know that you are "just the messenger " during these changes  and I would not want to be in your shoes at this time ;O) It's bad enough being a helpless cl, one that can offer no help to the board.   However, I will state my observations which I hope are not taken as "..me leading ivillage to a masacure" (perhaps that is spelled wrong but I see no spell check).  I can not answer all the concerns I have right now and all those of my loyal boardies/friends on this board;  I would not know where to begin. I've left them just hanging with no answers and that bothers me greatly. I will not give them superficial replies like "be patient, all will work out, ",,, as I don't know that and actually I feel it insults their intelligence.   I am voicing this here on my board instead of on the team board as I want the Sand Box members to know that my hands are pretty much tied. I sadly do not know the answers to the problems, flukes , and their utter frustration.   I want them & you to know that while I am a very loyal iVillage cl of 10 years, I share their frustrations right now, as a cl we have no more inside info than they do.   I have no doubt that iVillage will work thru all the new flukes over time.   I also have no doubt that members will once again get used to the changes.  I DO have doubts how many members and cl's  will still be here this time to get used to the changes.  From a cl point of view, I can not "work my B off again trying to regain members" .  I just can't .            

Here are my basic observations :

The links supplied to discuss siggies and other issues are not helpful.  That seems to be the regular old info that everyone already knew.   The problem that I have, is not that I can't do the function,  the codes insert just like before it's just that afterwards it just plain doesnt work.  I think 95% of all the members know how to insert a code and press apply, etc.     Things don't update.  The 2nd link to the hotline: to get a "real" answer over there, well it' s like waiting in line to win a lottery.  When and if that will ever happen, no one knows.  This type of info is not helpful  and honestly all the flukes from the last change hadn't even been worked out yet and what is it 1-2 yrs ago when it was changed to Lithium or whatever ?  

I'm not worried about siggies at this point, but all the other flukes happening.  This kind of info just frustrates people.  At this point anyone can live without a siggie, or using a purple font, and we certainly are not looking at "the new sleek look" ,  but one has to be able to manouver around freely to keep "in contact" with friends, that's the point of the forums.  If this contact is broken , then from day 1 you are losing members. We are losing members as I type.   

No one in this day and age has the time or patience to work through all the flukes that ivillage gives us  time after time.  Believe me when I say that right now no one cares about ivillage's new sleek look.  Most don't even register that it has a new sleek look, they are toooooo PO'd and frustrated.  They are just trying to figure out how to post, how to read , how to find things, how to save things, which browser works for reading and which one to post (absurd),  how to get the preferences working etc. It took me 5 days now to just be able to log in and take a peek. I'm the cl, I should be able to get here quicker.  I couldn't .  How acceptable is that?  

The cl's, including myself,  are very curious how/why we are not announced as board leaders. Maybe that is just another thing being worked on, but I did notice that the CM's still come up  fire engine red. So it's one of those things that is not a fluke but was just not thought about beforehand and we are no longer important. Slap in the face, once again.   

I do have some photos I wanted to post, and I have some news I wanted to share but "files must be less than 2 MB" OH WOW!!!!!!   On top of that, since I couldn't log in I couldn't post my news.  Won't be posting any photos anytime soon.  Now I'm also too annoyed to post any news. (I will later on) . 

FB  & other  "successful" women's forums  work well, function all the time, no obvious downtimes, no superficial changes, behind the scenes changes go into effect without anyone knowing they were made....  how do they do this?   Just saying ;O)   

To my all my lovely Sand Box friends: my pm's are not working all the time right now, at least I don't want to rely on it right now. So would you all pls send me your regular (not personal message) emails to my regular email . Thanx (I do have Twoki, Teri, Hugs, D, Pat)

Thank you Suzan! I have the Sandbox in my faves so I can get here directly! Haven't been through the homepage in a couple years.They lost my interest! Like you- the siggies and what-nots are minor whines. I never understood fixing what's not broke....sigh....

I do not ever put any blame to the CLs ...I know it is not your doing.I also know you do not have the answers or fixes...I just (im)patiently wait for the gremlins to leave!

We have been waiting for your news & pics  ! Sad we can't see them. I miss my buds- thanks goodness most are on FB ! but that leaves others out...

Very well said, Suzan! Having been a cl, I would never blame you for any problems with the board! I have complained to you when I couldn't get in the board to voice my concerns, hoping you have more of an "in" with the powers that are responsible for the problems, but I never would blame you for any of this.

I think I know what your news is and for that, congratulations! Hopefully we'll be able to read all about it soon, if not see it.

As for me, I get by, using my bookmark for this board and never even trying to navigate the main page. I learned long ago that's impossible.

SUZAN...So good to see you here!! I just sent you another IV PM, I must have your other addy too and will look for it. Wish I had seen this before I did that! You nailed it well on all the problems and frustrations here!!

Sad we can't read your new news now or see your photos. :(  Darn IV for doing this to us again!! Women need women to talk to and I have looked around a lot and have not found another forum that I like as well as IV. So, I'll be here and remain a loyal member as long as there is someone to talk to or until they turn out the lights and close the last door. ::sigh::

Another thing is the posting windows are narrow and wish they'd stretch it the space from top to bottom. Maybe it will look different when they finally get Firefox and Chrome working again!! I do not like using IE!!

Another thing is the Quote option is a mess with all the HTML junk mixed in!!

Add another..we need subscriptions working!!

Anyway..it's really good to see you!!!

Well said Suzan. This is just a mess. The links for help don't work. The mobile version for my Android phone doesn't work. I can only read the first message posted on my iPad. We can't see how many new posts there are since we last checked in. We can't click "next" to get to the next topic. Just a mess. Looking forward to your news and the pictures! :)

Yeah, the not being able to see new posts and go right to them is really a hassle. I hope this is one of the things they'll eventually fix.
