Millie has me a little worried

This is going to sound very weird, but that's my Millie.

To look at her, there's nothing wrong. She eats, she uses her sand, her fur isn't coming out in clumps, and she doesn't seem to be in pain anywhere.

But....

Glad to hear Millie is getting back to her self again! Sounds like cleaning the carpet did the trick? It is worrisome when pets-especially cats -act up as they are true creatures of habit.

Oh I know so well about a pet embarassed! Izzie loves to chase the birds off the deck.Everyone once in a great while she lands in the grass- 7 feet below-OUCH! but she just sits there & looks around. the look on her says "did anyone see me do that?" the funniest was when she got lost in a snow pile...lol .of course we always check to make sure she is ok.

Ann that is a good report! If she walked on the carpet then all is getting well.... maybe it also took a while for the shot and pill you gave her to work too. Nice to get the carpet cleaned for sure. (I don't mind the cat on the table (well I guess if I was eating I wouldn't want it). I kept thinking all day and even dreamed about this last night,,, and when I woke up all I could think about was catfood. Recalls,,,, ya just never know. http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/newpetfoodrecalls/#Cat
Lists all recalls since 2007. Anyway, I don't need to tell you how special out little furbaby is to us so I totally understand the attachment to Millie: of course she's your friend and companion and baby. Too cute how she watches you at the door. Hope all is better now, but keep us posted... (()) such a scare.....

Oh, Anne, that is good news about Millie getting out and about more. Thinking the medicines are working and she is beginning to feel better each day. At least you got your rugs cleanned out of all of this--hoping it helps Millie too! My cats love to make themselves the center of attention when I'm reading, playing on the computer or whatever--Charly (a girl) is on the counter at the shop most days I'm working and wants to lay on the keyboard while I'm waiting on customers--what a pest, but I love having all my cats around--even on the table (lol)!

She knows how weird Millie is behaving - the fear and all - but doesn't know why, either, since I have no houseplants and M isn't an outdoor cat. Something tracked in on our shoes is all she can think of at the moment, and that's what she's treating, but so far it hasn't affected her fear. I have to give her an update

Ann I would definitely describe that exact thing to your vet, thinking it's important.... it could be Gage's scent.....

I'm not so sure she's afraid , she just really wants to be left alone. Parasites can come in on the shoes into the house. Milie mihgt step there and then lick her paws. If she might have parasites, I would suggest changing her litter quite often for the next week. (Time for her to learn how to use the regular toilet). LOL

Hope she'll be fine real soon. The only thing that I know of that makes a cat lose her mind would be rabies . (my warrior hunter Winkie got that: RIP little girl)

Strange as it seems, I really do think there is something about the carpet that is scaring her. She seems okay and sociable (for her) if
