my amazon order order is arriving this week, it's like XMAS around here. (10 books each wanting me to choose it next to read LOL) I'm really excited , so if you don't see me around here, you'll know what I'm doing! LOL

Today I'll finish The Copper Beech by Maeve Binchy. I had read this back in '92 and liked it and that was the book that started me feverishly reading all her books. Of course I heard a couple weeks back that Maeve had passed on, so decided to re-read that book in her honor. RIP Maeve.

I have bought my first XMAS present (GASP!). It is Dr Seuss's mr Brown can Moor! Can You? Yep, decided it's not too early as I'm planning to make a box of books for my grandson.... so that's the first one I bought.

As for the movies, last night we watched Must Love Dogs , a love comedy with John Crusak and Diane Lane. We both enjoyed it... light and very entertaining.

The box of books is a good idea.  Bet you can't wait to meet that little guy!   I saved too many of my kid's books for "one day".

I'm reading a light book about dogs now and just got Sea Change by Karen White to read next.

10 books, wow!   I read a Mauve Binchy years ago.

Glad you enjoyed the movie.

I recently finished The Accident, by Linwood Barclay. It was very good. Lots of plot twists.  Now I'm reading Lost, by Michael Robotham. It's a mystery set in England. The second of a series featuring a detective with Parkinson's Disease. I've only just started it, but so far it's not bad.

I'm watching Falling Skies, my soap opera, Leverage and Ice Road Truckers on tv, and looking forward eagerly to new episodes of my favorite shows!  I haven't seen any movies that stand out in my mind, but I'm looking forward to getting the new season of Haven from Netflix in September.

I never heard of Haven, but totally love watching good tv series on dvd so I ordered the first season from my library, looks like it's available too.  Thanks for the recommendation!

It is good, if you like an eerie mystery with a supernatural kind of feel.

Hi Karyn,
I saved all of ds's little golden books but I'm thinking to keep them here at my house , as I will be the person who will be speaking and reading to him in English. We'll be using the OPOL system with him. (one person one language) whereas my ds & dh will speak only German to him, my dil will speak only Turkish to him and I will speak only English to him. So the books will come in handy when he's here which I hope is alot.
