Lots of repeats on TV so have been watching "Damages" (Glenn Close), it's good, really have to pay attention LOL

I finished reading Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo,, liked it alot and ordered the next two in the series (Kate Burkholder series). Delivery arrive on Wednesday, hopefully.  She was a new author for me and glad to say I will continue to read her books til boredom sets in LOL

This week I started yet another new author , Debra Anastasia.   I'm really liking her book called "Poughkeepsie" , VERY different and keeps my nose glued to the book,, not sure why it does but it just does.

What about you?

Watching...not much....have been running with relatives who came in town for a week, Twins baseball game, Mall of America, Como Park and Zoo, and then to sis-in-laws house for supper a couple of nights...and lots of visiting....

Ohhh! Minnesota memories, lol! I grew up in MN and remember the Twins well. My mom sold tickets for them in the 60's and we saw a lot of games! My brother has a ball signed by all the big names of the early Twins (Killebrew, Rollins, Versallies (or however he spelled his name, lol) and many more I can't remember. Mom  gave the ball to the manager (or a coach or someone like that) and told him to get as many names as would sign it, but especially Harmon K. All the players were eager to sigh a ball for the son of one of the ticket sellers, lol.
And I used to go to the Como Park Zoo when it was just a little bitty zoo and I was just a little bitty girl, lol!  Someday I'm going to get back there and see how it's changed.

Oh no, Edward is better!  lol

DId you happen to see him (Pattinson) in Water for Elephants?  He was good in that role and I didn't even recognize him as Edward.

  1. HI Karyn,  was wondering where you were off too......    ;O)
  2. I started to watch Water for Elephants twice, and get to the point where he's about to
  3. ++++++++++SPOILER++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

 shoot the horse and then I get all teary eyed  and turn it off.........   so what I've seen of him in that movie is not much but yes he's OK in it and I didn't think of Edward.   Don't get me wrong, I liked all the twilight films,  Edward  included but I just like Jacob better.... more my type,,,  rugged and dark haired and muscles......  of course I wouldn't mind jumping from tree to tree thru the air with Edward....................  ;O)

Oh yes Susan, that was definitely a sad part.....don't blame you.  But I like how it ended.

My biggest problem with Jacob, he reminds me of someone I know, one of my son's friends, so that is just too weird.  LOL

Watched a movie on Netflix streaming today,  The Neighbor.  Ann would probably appreciate it as I think she's the only other one here who likes the occasional scary movie.  It's about a couple who move into an old house and have a creepy neighbor.  Fun escape movie for me in the middle of the day.  :smileyhappy:
