Reading: I'm reading Haunted Ground, by Erin Hart. It's not bad, but I'm having a hard time getting into it.

Watching: The usual shows, when they aren't reruns - Castle, the CSI shows, the NCIS shows, Hawaii Five-O, Person of Interest.

Glad you liked The Help, Suzan.

Suzan, I was curious as to what you thought I couldn't handle, so I looked it up on Amazon. One reviewer said this....

>>>Without giving too much of the plot away, the opening takes us to India and a massacred village. Then we are back in Boston at a brutal murder of a young novice and the injury of an older nun. The violence is unbelievable and there seems to be no indication of motive.<<<

You are totally right, Suzan, I would have nightmares!! Nope, not going to read that one for sure..lol!

I both read The Help and saw the movie. Loved both, excellent!!

Books...I am going to put the rush on and finish up my current book, the classic To Kill A Mockingbird. Very good book!! I'm wanting to hurry up and finish it due to the conversation Tasha started about The Hunger Games. I already had THG loaded onto my Kindle Fire and after we saw the previews in the movie theater recently, I really want to get started reading that one. So, that's the one that I'll read next.

TV...Remembered to watch The Bachelor last night and there is only one more show next week..thank goodness!! lol! I'm also watching Army Wives, whose 6th season just began last Sunday. I watch it online as I only have basic cable tv and it's on extended cable. Other than that, nothing interests me on tv except for my soap of 40 years, Days Of Our Lives, which I catch maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

Movies...We watch a lot of movies. Our most recent one was Hugo and I can certainly understand why it got an Academy Awards Nomination..very excellent movie!!!

I loved the book Snowflower and the Secret Fan. The movie was okay, but only skimmed the surface of the relationship between the girls and their secret language.

And, yes, I'd be eternally grateful if you'd send me the first season of Downton Abbey. I don't think Netflix will ever have it available!

"The Sinner" is one of Tess Gerritsin's books I have not read--the local library doesn't have it and I haven't bothered to ask if it is available in any of the other libraries in the circuit.

Just finished Sara's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay, The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh and The Sisters by Nancy Jensen--enjoyed all of them very much! As a matter of fact I went to the library today--just started The Web by Jonathan Kellerman and also got another of his, The Clinic--both in the Alex Delaware series. Picked up two others, The Lost Wife by Alyson Richman and The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker--haven't ready anything by either author, so we'll see!

Not watching a whole lot on TV--NASCAR started back up so DH records and watches all three series. I don't watch the entire races, but keep an ear tuned to the TV when they are on. Also Criminal Minds, all the CSIs, NCIS--whatever is in season. Also like to watch the new Hallmark and Lifetime movies when they have new ones.

I have Sara's Key, The Language of Flowers and The Sisters on my Amazon wish list. Sure wish I read faster so I could read more books. I have a stack of them here and several on my Kindle that I want to get to and keep adding more!! Almost wish I was a speed reader like Ellen, but I really don't want to tear through them that fast, just faster than I do. Of course if I got away from the computer longer, I could read more too, but that would be a really big sacrifice!!..lol!!
