I have a recommendation for you horror fans, and if you like short stories, this will fit your fancy. A Short Story Collection of Horrors, the Bizarre, and the Mysterious will leave you baffled, scared or left in awe. Maybe even all of the above. Check the trailer out on Youtube or go to Authorsden.com/CarolSFowler. Thanks.

Is anyone familiar with the tv series Hart of Dixie? It's on the CW channel. We've never seen it on it's tv channel, but we did find it through Netflix and have been watching old reruns from the very beginning of the show. We had never heard of the show before. I found their Facebook page, the show began on Sept. 26th, 2011 and we're about half way through the first season. We don't watch it every night, but we do about three times a week and we watch three shows at a sitting. They're only 45 minutes long each through Netflix with commercials removed. It's a really cute and fun show. Just wondering if anyone else has ever seen it.

>>>"New Yorker and new doctor Zoe Hart accepts an offer from a stranger, Dr. Harley Wilkes, to work in his medical practice in Bluebell, Alabama. She arrives to find he has died and left half the practice to her in his will."<<<

It's cute as the New Yorker adjusts to life in a very southern town in Alabama.

Ann...were you talking to me? About Room? I hope you and Suzan both enjoy it as much as I did. I just kept thinking of what a brilliant imagination the author has to have been able to see the story and the words as she did. Amazing!!

Do you have to pay postage for your free books? I hardly ever use my Kindles anymore as it often seems that the books that I like to read cost more for my Kindles than the $0.01 plus $3.99 = $4.00 paper books I get from Amazon. I can never find any free Kindle books that are my cuppa tea. I did find a few that are either $4.00 or less that I did put on my tablet. Honeltly, though, I think I still prefer paper in my hands and turning pages by hand than using my Kindle. Guess I'm just an old fashioned girl at heart..lol!

Ann...Well now we know a little bit more about you. You like to be scared..LOL!! So, I suppose you like horror movies too then? I used to love horror movies back in my younger days, but now they give me nightmares!

Suzan...I like to read a synopsis plus reviews of a book before I decide to read it. I can't tell anything just by looking at the title of a book. So, if you do that for Room at Amazon where I get my reviews from, you'll see that it is predictable what happens with the story. Therefore, no spoiler alert was necessary I didn't think. What I wrote was copy/pasted from Amazon.

Donna, I'm far from a speed reader, but now and then - maybe once a year or so - I start thinking of a favorite book and I eventually have to reread it. Yes, it takes time away from all the new books I've got here, but sometimes I just can't stop myself from picking up with an old love again, lol!

And, as for SK, I've read (and own) every book he's written. They're not all as good as, say, The Shining or The Stand, but most are unputdownable. I guess I like to be scared, LOL!

Thanks for the good review! I have that coming to me from AZ via Paperback Book Swap (and it's free!)! I love that site, I might have to wait a bit for a book to become available, but when it does, it's free! But maybe a site that feeds my addiction with free books for the asking isn't so good, lol!

Hi Donna, I just received my copy of Room , which was the book that Teri read for her bookclub and recommended it to us. I did not read what you wrote about it, as I do not see a "***SPOILER ALERT**** and I don't like to know the endings of things before I read it... ;O)

Hi Donna. While I like S Mallery for fluff, I don't think many of her books are what I'd call page turners or mind boggling. Very good for "brain rests" as you call them...which for me is also often necessary ;O)
