I'm happy that some of my TV shows are back on the air for the new season: The Closer, CSI:NY, and I've started watching The Newsroom (anyone watching that one?) .  Haven't seen any films lately,, would love to go to the movie theater and eat popcorn andn see something "riveting"... LOL

I'm reading "Gone Missing"  by Linda Castillo , the 4th in her Kate Burkholder (Amish Series).  I'm liking them .  I finished Susan Mallory's Barefoot Summer (first in the Blackberry Island series) , I liked that one too.

What about you ?

I am not a Billy Bob Thornton fan...but I have to give him credit for this one, great job.  And don't remember seeing Bridget Fonda in anything before this.

Hope you enjoy your new book.

2nd time I saw it.  I wanted to yell at the screen, don't do it, every time I saw BIll Paxton taking the lie one step further.

So far not loving the book but will give it a few more chapters chance. lol

Reading....

I am reading Colony by Anne River Siddons. She has become my current favorite author! A splendid writer whose writing style and use of words is hard to find. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Colony spans 70 years of four generations of people, one family in particular, and their summers in Retreat, Maine. You will follow them through their joys and sorrows and will keep on wanting to read more. I am very much enjoying reading Colony....

Rented or Streamed Movies...

We recently watched the Disney documentary Chimpanzee and it was wonderful!! It's beautiful, interesting, educational and so very heart warming!! We highly recommend buying or renting it and enjoying it soon!

Movie Theater....

The last movie we saw in a theater was Hope Springs with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. It was excellent as all Meryl Streep movies are!! You will laugh and cry as the main characters, married couple, go through sessions with a marriage counselor. One can learn a lot from it too. There is a lot of sex talk in it, but not in a crude way, more about intimacy in a loving relationship. It also has a wonderful ending!

Live Theater....

The last performances we recently saw live were groups at the KS State Fair and also at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival with excellent groups performing all day long well into the night. We got there around 11:30am and left at 1:30am the next morning!! Loved it!!

Tonight we're going to our Music Theater Concert Hall to see the live performance of Lion King. I know it will be over the top fabulous and we're so looking forward to seeing it!!

TV Shows....

I have no favorite tv shows now except for my daily soap of 42 years, Days Of Our Lives.

You're a little ahead of me in Fifty Shades... I'll be glad to be finished with the series, too. And I'm looking forward to The Amazing Race, too.
