Since we won't be returning until the day before T Day, I won't be having the regular dinner on that Thursday. We already discussed it with ds and he understood totally (phew). Since dil's parents are still in town we may get together at the chicken place that evening and have chcken schnitzels and fries.... My big turkey dinner will be combined with XMAS dinner, and I hope by then I'll be able to prepare a big dinner. I sure am not able to do much cooking right now so we'll see..... not even sure I'll be able to put up a tree this year ;O) (That would be a real pity, as it's Mikey's 1st XMAS)
So what are your plans if any,,, pls share all the details : where, with whom, when, what'cha planning to make or eat ..... if you are invited will you be bringing a dish and if so what.....will you be shopping the day after T day? ( and anything else you care to share.... LOL)

Ann that is really great news... glad to hear Riley will be staying with you again, and of course wonderful that Colleen keeps up her friendship with her gf and of course the party,,, nothing like a kiddie b'day party. A perfect weekend for sure.
Twig,
We will have our TG celebration on Saturday. We are usually the flexible family so that the family members can go to their SO's families for the regular holiday date.
I think we are close to 20 ppl attending, and some or most bringing dishes. Normally we prepare it all. Our oldest is living with us with our two granddaughters and she is a terror on the holidays, rest of the family would be happy with pizza on TG but she wants the bells and whistles. Though for Xmas eve we always go all out.
Looking forward to so many family members coming, just not sure yet where they all will be sitting lol

Welcome to the Sand Box MoCyn. I'm sorry I didn't reply beforehand, but I 've been travelling and just arrived home to a "working laptop with internet" . LOL It's nice to have you here with us.
Your T day celebration sounds wonderful. Enjoy your dinner with your family, 20 is a huge gathering.
Hope to talk to you again soon, pls tell us where you live and what your hobbies are...

>>> D, have a nice time! Will you be staying right at the house? I agree shopping after the holiday is really nerve wracking. <<<
Thanks S, it was a really good time!! We stayed at their home for the day and evening only. We are way not overnight house guests in anyone's home! We like our comforts to suit us and our privacy and always stay at hotels. Other than my own kids and grandkids, I don't like overnight guests in my home either. Too stressful. That's why I do not have a guest room in my home either, only a sofa sleeper in the living room for my grands.
Thanks for the welcome Twig04.
Had a decent TG, not as many people as hubby was in the hospital the day before for surgery. Seems his diabetes is no longer able to be managed by diet, but is now with insulin shots. His mom and our oldest actually made TG dinner and we were able to come home Thursday afternoon, so didn't have to spend TG in the hospital.
I live in California and like to crochet, read and paint.
Hi MoCyn,
I'm sorry to hear about your dh ,,, hope he is back home now and that the diabetes can be treated at home (())
We have a special reading watching thread every couple weeks ,,,, hope to see you there when I put it up.... maybe I'll do that now.... TTYS
