%%^&^%$#@@#$%^ side by side fridge/freezer!

I swore, back when my mom got a side by side fridge/freezer that I'd never get one. Hers was too deep and too small and she'd lose things in the back and never find them till they were science experiments.

But when we replaced our old fridge I got lured into getting one by the good price and the fact that it was (or seemed to be) a lot bigger than my mom's was.

. . . The fridge part is...okay. It took some getting used to, but I've designated certain shelves to certain things and as long as I don't try to put anything too big in there or accumulate too many leftovers it is working well enough - except for the darn door that won't stay open and is always hitting me when I'm getting things or putting things away.

ann, my problem was that the refrigerator door would always swing all the way open... so my ds took a look at it, and adjusted the feet and now it just opens and stays open in the correct position. Try that or have Tom try it.

Ann why don't you sell it on EBAY, since it#s new you could probably get close to the origninal price and then buy a different one that you like.

My freezer in on the bottom and there are 3 drawers so I put ice cube trays and frozen fruit in the top . Meat and other stuff in the bottom 2.
It's OK. Had to really get used to having frozen food drawers! The res of the fridge is good, but it very tall and I#m not so tall.. so makes storing things on the top shelf tough.!

Well I forgot to B&M about my appliances.
My fridge is too loud and resonates all the way upstairs.
My dryer is working, that 's the only good thing about it.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
The thing that gets to me is my dh put the printer in the LR (just for a few days he said) . AFter 2+ yrs it's still thereancould go upstairs but it's not cordless infra red so when he prints something he'd have to take the laptop upstairs to print it. It's just sitting on a tier table and looks ugly, takes up space and there are too many cables. I really want that thing gone from the LR.

Good idea. I'll suggest it to T.

It isn't new. We bought it used from a guy who had it in a cottage and seldom used it, so it was like new, but didn't cost much. I don't know if we'd get much out of it and I know we'd get far less than a new one would cost.

My freezer has a couple drawers that I use for bags of frozen vegetables and misc. bread and potato

I know how that goes! I've got a few things around the house that were only going to be there a few days and have taken up permanent residence, too. The price of living with someone else, I guess!

LOL!! Okay, this probably isn't supposed to be funny, but it is to me because I hated my side by side too!! It was the biggest one made and huge and still not wide enough in the fridge part for large cakes and such. During preparation for a dinner party, it was a real challenge getting all the things in there too!! Now I have a fridge with the freezer on top so I don't have to bend over to get frozen foods out and I love it!! Oh, and I also *hated* the ice and water in the door!! I was cleaning that thing all the time as any drops of water left on it's tray would make white hard water spots!!
