Signs of Fall in your area?

I was clipping my roses yesterday and noticed so many dead leaves on the lawn....  ut oh!
Fall is coming on quickly. Mornings are very cool as are the evenings, some trees are starting to turn brown around town, my sedums are just about to bloom, I'm seeing chestnuts on the ground......

Have you seen signs of Fall in your area?
Mornings cool?
When will you start to change out your home decor from summer to fall (assuming you do) ?

Speaking  of home decor, take a peek of these Fall Tablescapes from Pier 1 (we don't have it here).....

I loved so many things ,,, the woven placemat, the runners in fall colors, the wrought iron triple candle holder.....

Other than school has started in this area ..
No real signs of fall.
We had a few coolish mornings but those are gone now too
It was a brutally hot summer so taking a while to cool down .
Will change a few things most likely middle of September :smileyhappy:

We have double digits instead of triple digits, the days are gradually getting shorter, and dd's volleyball games have begun!

That's about the only signs I've noticed so far.

Nice decorations, we have a  Pier 1 not too far but I haven't been in a long time.

I probably won't do fall decorating in the house, maybe a centerpiece.  I have some beautiful mums in the yard which will be blooming, that along with fallen leaves will be my yard decorations. :smileyhappy:

Oh and we're forecasted to get up to 4" of rain this weekend thanks to Hurricane Isaac!  I can't even imagine that much rain after the drought we've had.  The grass will turn green again!

Hi Twoki, I totally forgot about the squirrels... they are all over the place frantically running around looking for hiding places for the walnuts our neighbor puts out by the hundreds , carefully watching the house and lawn to see if the diva dog devil is out there... she loves to chase them. Gets lots of exercise too.

I'll have to watch the shadows and see how long they are,, never thought about that.

I forgot about the fairs,, and how could I forget that. Munich has been building up the Octoberfest grounds for the past few months.... (it takes about 3+ months to get that ready.

I wish on the Florida move but doubtful ::sigh::
Our rains are to start Friday afternoon & go through Monday.
While we need it they say a lot so we're kind of battening the hatches as we may be gone a bit.
Yes read away & nap with your weather :smileywink:
