Hope you all have a wonderful weekend,,,,
Nothing much planned this weekend. Maybe dh and I will take a stroll in the old city (HA! that entire city is old ),,, he needs to get his glasses adjusted. I will be off now in a bit to do the weekend grocery shopping so we won't have to "deal with the crowds" on Saturday. Wednesday, I bought some dark purple pansies and a pretty blue/pink forget me not, so need to plant that... my dh came home yesterday with 7 rose bushes to plant...... he was surprised that we need to wait until mid May to do so.... need I say we do NOT need any rose bushes and I wish he'd stop his impulse buying ;O) He's sweet.
Happy Friday....today going to coffee with the gals...been 2 weeks since I have been there....once because of snow and once because we were gone....Then have a couple of errands to do,...
Tonight rain, freezing rain sleet, and snow is moving in for the weekend....would like to get over to my folk's on Saturday....but will see what the weather is like....Will be a good weekend for reading and maybe digging out a craft project.... ;)
I wish I could plant pansies, but I'd have to dig through a foot of snow to do it! We may get rid of some of it this weekend, though, if it gets into the 40's and rains, as the weather reports say it will.
I'm going out soon to do some grocery shopping and to stop at a big consignment sale of children's toys and clothes that is being held at a fair pavilion in town. I don't know if there is much good stuff left though, because it's been going on all week. I just found out about it yesterday, though (I should read the local paper more, lol). But it's free to look, so I will look.Tonight we'll go out somewhere for a fish fry.
Saturday and Sunday are open to possibilities at the moment.
hope the snow goes right by you and off to another state LOL
Have fun with your gal pals,,, hope you DO get to go this week....
Well honestly Ann I should NOT be planting anything until May, ya never know : we've been known to have last week in April major snow falls,, kills everything....
Maybe you'll find something for your coaster projects at the consignment sale,,, ya never know ..... have fun there....
Fish fry sounds GREAT!
So I did not get off to the grocery store as I said I would, dil called and wondered if I had time to babysit,, so I said yes. . I was there from 12:30 til 16:30. My goodness gracious I'm tired LOL No wonder one has kids early on LOL Mikie was a good little tyke and I enjoyed being there... he cried for 40 minutes and then I decided to let him calm down a bit, and just kinda ignored hiim for 2 miinutes and then he calmed down all by himself. Think he was testing me. It was like... "OK it's not mommy , and my grammy is not going to carry me around all day, might as well sleep. " And he did too, 2 hours long, a first for him. We had a good time. He's trying to turn over now,,, kinda gets 1/2 way then gets stuck. Coffee was of course there and she and I cuddled on the couch while Mikie had his nap.
So off to the couch with me, dh /ds are out at a night meeting tonight , an dmy bones are aching from my training yesterday. Grocery shopping will be done on Saturday morning.
Well, Suzan, there was nothing that sparked any ideas for coasters, but there was a mile of kids clothes and toys! The prices were middle of the road - less than new in the store, but more than the usual rummage sale, but the quality was excellent, so I didn't mind spending a bit more than a rummage sale. I controlled myself, though, and just got 3 cute outfits for Riley. Two of them are summery, though, so I'm hoping she's still in a 2T in summer. I really liked them, and I think R and C will, too, so they came home with me.
I also found a puzzle with Elmo from Sesame St. on it. It'll be a bit more challenging for her, I think. She's a whiz at puzzles and the simple ones she has are too easy for her, so we'll see how she does on one a bit more puzzle-like. And she loves Elmo. And I found a little Sesame St. themed book with Elmo on every page, so I think she'll like that, too, if only to look at Elmo, lol!
Friday...Today is International Women's Day! We began the day by getting dh's eyes examined and ordering him new glasses. Then we went shopping and bought dh several new shirts and a new tie. Hmmm..it's supposed to be MY day!! LOL!! It was fun, though, love buying him new stuff almost as much as I love buying myself new stuff!!
Saturday...Wrap dgs's bday gifts. That night is dgs's 13th bday party at a gymnastics place. Turning clocks ahead.
Sunday...Sunday school & church, but we won't be going for our usual Chinese dinner afterwards. I'm in strict diet mode again. :(
We watch one or two, usually two, movies most nights that we're home too.
Have a good weekend everyone!!
