I might add also, that it serves the choir teacher right to be without a lead singer in her Madrigals. She knew what was going on, and she should not have allowed it. I'm sorry to hear this story , kyra seems like a strong kid and she'll get thru this. I hope the bully learned something from it also.
It really has been awful and scary too! All of this began shortly after the granddaughter of a friend of mine committed suicide due to bullying. I couldn't help thinking about that through all of this with Kyra. My friend's dgd was a petite pretty young girl, honor society, also a lead vocalist, actively involved in many other things, happy before the bullying began. She went to a different school than my dgd. It was worse with her as there were two or three girls who constantly harrassed her every day and were physical with her also. She was terrified of going to school. Her parents begged and pleaded for the school to help. They did little to nothing. One day her mother found her hanged in her bedroom closet. Terrible tragedy. They're trying to pass a Senate bill to stop bullying in all schools.....
Kyra's teacher and principal wouldn't listen to how bad it was. Their thoughts were, "Oh, that's just how girls are!" Now they finally get it!! Grrrr!!! At the final meeting with both Kyra and the girl, the girl said she's tired of people telling lies about her. The teacher finally said that she saw her and heard her with her own ears and eyes and they're not lying!! She has calmed down somewhat.
