ohhhhh that's great news Ann,, i'm glad it turned out that way as you'll get to spend Riley's first Tday together... I think your offer of bringing a turkey and a ham is really nice... and wine of course.. no it doesn't sound bad,,,, sounds real good to me!

I remember last year you didn't feel like putting up a tree as I think colleen didnt think she'd make it over to you,, but you did and she did make sometime during the holiday .... maybe you'll feel like it later on closer to the holiday... but if not,, truly that little spruce bough arrangement was very XMASy. I can understand your hesitation about the ladder so better to let T put the lights on ,, (see how handyhe is? Really Ann if you ever decided to hire him out I'll be the first on your list of customers. )

Have a great day Ann.

Oh Great idea Pat! Never gave that a thought , just doing the dessert. Well it is difficult when the kids "have" to do 2 Tday meals on the same day. I've never had relatives from both sides on the same continent (LOL) so had no problem. I remember my brother who married a local gal and then moved to his job which was a good 5 hour drive away. First they had to drive home and then they had to do the noontime meal at her parents and then a 5 pm meal at our house. Thinking back , that must have been is so difficult for them and my 4 nephews.
Your evening Tday dessert idea at my parents house would have been marvelous... it wouldn't have made it lonely at my home as my nana was always there with us.

why go through the trouble of dinner if you don't feel good...besides the girls all eat at inlaws. maybe just have everyone over for dessert? ALOT less stresssful.

sure hope you feel better soon!

If you don't feel well and just plain don't feel like doing Thanksgiving at your house then don't do it. Your family may not be happy which is understandable, but they should also be understanding and accepting that you just don't feel up to doing it this year.

No, Bunny you are not being a bad mother/grandmother.
