OMG...Donna...you made me cry...thank you so much & ALL of you gals..that I have not had time to respond to.....thank you for "listening" to me !!!

Yes Donna..I keep telling DD...remember this is his MO.....on being a bullshi))er...remember last summer.when he was using our house as a "flop house"..he used the excuse to DD....well, I am with ur brother & sleeping at ur parents house !!!! That ended quickly !!! Kinda feel bad for my ds.....as they have been friends for years...then bil's....now....he realizes he was been taken advantage of & used as a fool !!..that is what Alcholic's do !!!! Use & blame everybody....NOTHING is EVER thier fault !!! urghhh !!! There I go again !!!

At least DD has her own bank acct & a cell in her own name....we are getting there..told her to get , perhaps a Kohl's charge card.....charge a little & pay it right off.....so she can have her own "foot print" in the financial world !!!

Thanks again !!!! much appreciated, my friends !!!

If your sil would truly abstain from alcohol, a different personality would emerge. That could make a difference. If he is not willing to committ to total abstinance, though, nothing will change. My x-sil isn't an alcoholic, but he is controlling, manipulative, cynical and condesending. He has some very good qualities, too, that we all miss; but this other side is way too much to have to deal with. His mother is the same way, he grew up that way and will never change as it is too strongly a part of his general personality. I do remember your sil using your house last year as a flop house and how livid you rightfully were. This is sad for your son and puts him in an akward position, too, being a friend. My other sil had a very hard time over my daughter's divorce as he was close friends with her x too. He got over it though when he saw what a jerk his friend/bil really was and can still be!!

That's good financial advice for your daughter! I hope they don't have any credit cards with both of their names on them. No one, no matter how good a marriage is, should ever do that, keep the cards in separate names!

Thanks again !!!! much appreciated, my friends !!! {{{hugs}}}

HI Bunny, we're here to listen , you know that. Abba is just the little darling , so polite. Much older kids should take a lesson from her. hope the results comd in soon and you get to the cause of her "episodes".

Well of course it would have been really difficutl to say "OK, SIL just don't do it again"... not the type of thing that the slate can be wiped clean with one comment. I'm pretty sure he did not think all would be forgiven. Hoping your dd also holds her ground . The couple separation therapy is a good idea... mainly SIL needs to really want this all..... he#s going to have a long road ahead of him. hang in there , and I'm glad your dd had the insight to know that you and your dh have to have some sort of normalcy in your lives at times.
Keep us posted.

I suppose showers are better than no rain at all, if just to keep the dust and pollen down. ??
Hope you got all your work, clenaing and laundry done so you have a bit ot time to relax. How is your dh's back?
