And when is boxing day?
I'm thinking your big party is over and i'm hoping to hear it was a success and that you had fun too!
It's the 25th now as I'm writing, apple /blueblerry crisp is baked and cooling and everything is under the tree waiting. The kids will come over at 18:30 tonight , so I have the whole day to rest and relax and then stick the turkey in the over around 3:30. We went to their place last night on the 24th and it was lovely. They had spent the afternoon baking cookies and they were delicious. Dil had said not to bake any, so guess what? I didn't . They had soooo many , and many different types. It was fun.

I can't imagine having 20 trees,, to me that is total overkill! One nice tree that survives until XMAs day suffices. Interesting to see I suppose.
See other thread for reply to going shopping for son... no I didn't ... reply is there. LOL

you have a lot planned, have fun. Yes, definitely wear combat boots for shopping,,, we finished ours early this afternoon, it was already getting crowded.

Maybe overkill for you and your home; but not for them, not at all!! It's a beautiful Christmas Wonderland in a very large historic home and so interesting and fun to see and enjoy. Most of the trees are small sitting on shelves or tables, kind of like when people have Santa collections or collectible houses like my Dickens houses and such. I remember seven large trees, each in a different room and a few tabletop trees and the rest are smaller. All the trees are artificial. I can't think of anyone I know of who uses live trees anymore and come to think of it, I haven't seen any live tree lots around either. There used to be lots of tree lots, but not anymore except for a couple of tree farms out in the country. Every room in their home has at least one tree in it and other decorations too. I used to do that in my last home. I decorated every room for I had Christmas parties and I loved making it extra special for my guests to enjoy. It was also our family Christmas gathering place. I loved doing it, can no longer do it now, and I cherish the memories.
