too funny about the chili. Glad he invited you, that should be fun to see how he decorated!
Teri, how is your dh doing now?

Oh Suzan, it gets even more funny.

Right now I'm reading Tess Gerritsen "Bloodstream"--about half way through and yes, I'm anjoying it. I go to the library every two weeks; just finished Jonathan Kellerman "Self Defense" and Lisa Wingate "Larkspur Cove"--still to read Emily Giffin "heart of the matter." I like variety (lol)!

The weather has been cloudy and dreary all day--right now the system is still to the west/NW of us, but the prediction is possible severe weather in the overnight hours. So far, no rain here.

LOL, Terri, DS2 inviting you to dinner and you bringing the chili--is he fixing anything! Hope you are enjoying your busy, but fun weekend!

MIL is doing good--just achy with the weather front moving through. Rain hasn't hit here yet--calling for severe weather to hit this area overnight. We'll see!

I've often thought of making chicken chili but haven't because DH probably would turn up his nose (lol)! Did you tell DS2 that since you were bringing the main course you expected him to provide the salad and dessert (lol)!

Glad to hear DH is doing good after the hip surgery. And it sure does make a difference when the patient is in good shape, all the way around. My sister had hip replacement last year; did very well. Has one leg shorter than the other but not by much--it was done intentionally so if she has the other hip done it will be easier to match up. Her biggest problem was the nerves burning as the leg healed.

Another busy weekend for Donna and J. I bet you are sad to see the soccer season end. Enjoy the game!

Not really. It's been fun, but I'm ready for the season to end now.

We had to decline another dinner invitation for tonight.

DH got busy this morning and made the chili so it was done before he headed out on a noon time outing.

Actually before I knew we need to bring a second variety of chili I had decided to make a cake for DS2 - he's my boy with the sweet tooth.
