Having a great relaxing weekend.  Kind of nice having no agenda.

I'm getting a lot of little things done that I never have time for.  Also finished my book and starting another.  Spending time outside in the cooler weather.  Puttering in the flowers.

Spent some time with my mom.

Miss dh but talking to him everyday.   He'll be home Wed.

Yesterday:  Just laundry, miscellaneous and errands.  Perfect day out and so I opened all of the windows again.   I can't wait to open the windows again- it has been tooo hot & sticky and stormy!

Today:  Just puttering around here as far as I know.  Hubby has a couple of things on the list that he really needs to take care of before leaving on Monday.  Also, he agreed last night to go to a movie with me today...I want to see Hope Springs...guess we'll see if he follows through or not.   hope you got to go see the movie

Tomorrow:  Gym, laundry and whatever is not completed today needs to be done.  I really want him to patch the hole in the ceiling from the leak repair and maybe fix the leak in the sprinkler so I don't keep bruising my forearms turning the system on and off at the back connection.   hope you don't have to call a contractor to get it done.

Just a kick off to a crazy few weeks coming up. did you get to relax any before the craziness begins?

Friday: We had a wonderful time with friends at the Simon and Garfunkel retrospective. The performers were very talented and the between the songs talk was informative and entertaining.  Sounds nice! I love their music

Saturday: We'll go to the farmers' market and maybe hit a few rummage sales in the morning. There are some Navy ships in port in Milwaukee and I'd like to go for the tours they're having, but I think Tom will want to go kayakking, so I'm sure that's what he'll do. Glad you had a nice shopping adventure!

Sunday I have a baby shower for the daughter of a friend to go to. I'm not sure I'll go. I hate going someplace like that and not being able to eat anything. I'll see how I feel about it tomorrow. . . . Um, no I don't have the shower to go to. I have that NEXT Sunday! I must be a week ahead of myself. Or going nuts, lol. Hopefully you can enjoy it next weekend!!

Sure hope Susan is doing ok. This week sure got away from me. Seems like I was just saying" Is it really August?" now it is 1/3 thru....sigh...

Thurs we had horrific thunderstorm & torrential rain that lasted an hour. It was over a small area & I live smack dab in the middle of where the storm sat! I usually don't mind the storms but this one was BAD. I had to drive home through it & luckily had a lull to get from the car to house. It has been so hot & humid and stormy...one more day to go.

Friday we babysat for Wayne's niece- her daughter Maelyn is 1 month. She is sooo cute.I had to leave for work so he was left alone with her.He loved it and said it wasn't that bad changing her diaper.

Sat I worked 9-6.Needless to say it was a verrry loooong day! Did a little food shopping after.Sunday is the usual church & work.

Sounds busy & fun Donna.
Did dh's evaluation go well ?
Yes, he begins the therapy Tuesday. Hoping strengthening back muscles and stretching leg muscles will relieve some of the non-diabetic neuropathy pain in his feet and give him better balance too.
Your evening sounds wonderful!
Nice you'll be able to relax & putter around the house too!
Enjoy your cooler temps & Have a great weekend :smileyhappy:Thx! The cooler temps are sooooo nice!!

Oh good to hear about DH then Donna,

Good, glad you had a great time!! I always liked S&G!!

Oh, my dh was a Navy man and would have loved seeing those ships!! Hope you got to go!!

Sunday I have a baby shower for the daughter of a friend to go to. I'm not sure I'll go. I hate going someplace like that and not being able to eat anything. Take your own food with you! I take my foods with me everywhere I go where eating will be involved. No one cares, or most don't except for the occasional one who may feel guilty about what they're eating while you're eating less, it's no big deal really. I take my foods to both homes and restaurants. When someone asks, and someone always does, I just say I'm on a restricted food plan and let it go at that. Sometimes someone will try to talk me into eating something there that is "healthy". I just say I know it's "healthy", but if it's not on my list of foods, I don't eat it. So, go, take foods, and enjoy yourself...next week!! lol
