Weekend: What's up?

Finally I was able to sign in.....

I'm patiently waiting for the inlaws plane to land.  All is ready.  I've moved my laptop upstairs (off the dining room table  LOL).  Coffee is here with me this afternoon.

Yesterday spent the afternoon with Mikey at dil's (not here).  Much easier over there, I don't have a small crib here,, which I am thinking might be a good idea, just have to talk dh into it.  ;O)

Sunday, plan to take MIL/FIL out to lunch and view the XMAS tree at the Mercedes Benz Showroom, then proceed to the town's local Christmas market /with live music.  Then home and will rest a bit then start dinner (baked salmon), ds , dil , Mikey will come over for dinner to show off the baby.

No plans for Monday, except cleaning lady arrives in the afternoon.  I have made no other plans for the time they are here and don't plan to make any. ;O)

I'll be here when I  can ,  have a nice weekend .... "see" ya soon .

So what are you all up to?

IVillage is going to drive me nuts! Now I have to sign in every time I post, even though I tell it to remember me.  Grrr!

Anyway, now that I finally am allowed to post, We went into town to run a few errands. My errands took a couple minutes. Tom's took an hour. He got what he wanted to get, but then wandered all over the store (hardware and building supply), looking at every single thing! EVERY thing! I told him that if I grocery shopped that way, I'd spend all day in the store!  You get in, get what you want and get out! Why look at things you don't even need? This is why I like to shop alone.

Later today we'll go to Tom's company Christmas party.  That should be fun.

Tomorrow we have to put up the tree and finish decorating. I'm not looking forward to it, but it has to be done, lol.

Echoing the sentiments of everyone - frustrated with the board - have log in EVERY time. The list goes on. . . .

Last night was a relaxing night - but did spend time watching our shows and took care of miscellaneous computer business while I sat here.  Ordered a few Christmas gifts.  For the remainder of the gifts I will probably need to go shopping in person.

Today is all about crossing things off the list and that includes putting ornaments on the tree and decorating the house, along with a ton of little things.

Tomorrow will be church and them working on the list before we go to a Christmas party at sis in law's for the afternoon/early evening.  Then back home to look at the list.

Hope you all have a great weekend.  I'll check in whenever I finally sit down this evening.

Had to search and found this thread *WAY* down the board!! Being an IV member is a test in patience!! I floated it to the top, but it didn't show up there, not yet anyway. Suzan, please consider adding dates in the subject line to make it easier to find when IV doesn't float it to the top. ::sigh::

Anyway...my weekend....

Hi Group, Happy Weekend!! Smile

We have some stuff going on, not a lot, just enough....

Friday...Went with DH for his eye doc appointment, just a routine exam, and found that he needs cataract surgery. Now to get him moving on it as he'd dragging his feet!! I didn't realize how bad his sight had gotten until I saw him trying to read the eye exam chart!! Yikes!! He will not be driving anymore at night until after surgery!! Then I took him home and headed off on my own to do some more Christmas shopping. We shopped together all Thursday afternoon, fun time actually, but yesterday I had to shop for my DD2 and my sis-in-law, so I gave him a break and just went by myself. I really missed him as he's good help and I just liking being with him, so I'll take him along after this unless I'm just running in and out of one store in a hurry. Of course I came across something that I had to have for me too!! Got a new turquoise cammie and a scarf. I bought myself a gorgeous pair of earrings Thursday that I can't wait to wear!! I love shopping for me..LOL!!  Last night we watched another Cmas movie.

Saturday...No plans and I don't Cmas shop on weekends, so we're just relaxing and will watch another movie tonight. I'll probably work on my memory book some more later, but now I'm heading in to haul more larger sizes out of my closet to give away to make room for the new smaller stuff.

Sunday...Sunday school & church. That evening we're going to a bluegrass Christmas mini concert at our church..fun!!! Hope to make it home in time for the new Hallmark Cmas movie coming on at 8 central time on ABC.

Have a happy weekend everyone!! Smile

Suzan...So you must be deep into inlaws by now!! I hope they don't drive you too crazy!! DO NOT give in to demands unless you really do feel well enough!! Dr. Donna has spoken!! LOL

Glad you could spend time with sweet little Mike yesterday. I had a porta-crib when my grandloves were little, smaller than a regular sized crib. I liked that it was up off the ground on legs rather than the "pack & play" ones that you have to bend far down into to get baby out of. It was easy to pack up and put out of sight when not in use too. I also had a high chair, a must for Grandma's house!! :)

Sounds like nice Sunday plans. Hope you're feeling good that day and you can all enjoy it together.

Will the inlaws stay out of the way while the cleaning lady is there?

Have a good rest of your weekend and hope the rest of the time goes smoothly too.

Ann...IV is driving us all NUTS!!! Hugs to all of you who are still hanging in there for I would sure miss you if you disappeared out of sheer frustration over the boards!!

Ouuu..Ann..Tom shops like I do!! You never know when you might see something you hadn't even known that you must have!! lol

Have a fun time at the party tonight!! I used to dread my former dh's company parties, not fun at all as the parties were big, lots of people and I only saw the people at Christmas and summer company picnic and always felt like I had to get to know them all over again each time. More tiring than fun.

Hope your decorating tomorrow turns out to be a little fun anyway..lol!
