Sorry that I haven't been on here much recently, been doing so much on my vacation! :)

Thanksgiving Day was excellent. Sat down to watch the parade with my whole family, then took it easy for the majority of the day. The dinner was fantastic. I ate a bit of nearly everything on the table (and our table was huge). I managed to fit in a bit of pie after dinner, but by that time, I was ready to kick my heels off and plop down on the couch. Watched TV with the rest of the family for the rest of the night.

Friday: Got up really early for Black Friday, there were so many sales, I couldn't resist. Surprisingly, my jeans actually fit perfectly (very surprising, since I usually can't even get the zipper halfway up for days after the Thanksgiving Day "aftermath.") Felt really good about that! :)

Went for a girls day out with my two sisters and a few of our friends. Literally shopped till I dropped. Ate like crazy at the food court too, lol, felt like a little girl again. I wore sneakers this year, hoping that my feet wouldn't hurt, but walking back and forth in numerous stores and malls can wreck havoc on feet, especially with the wrong footwear (I once wore flip flops when Black Friday shopping, and by the end of the day, my feet were so sore that I took them off and went barefoot. That's desperation lol :) The sneakers didn't really help all that much, and I had to get a foot massage at one of those in-mall booths. The guy did do a really good job. :)

Saturday: More shopping. Tons of fun.

Sunday: Church with the family, then spent most of the day relaxing at home. Watching TV, the usual.

Been absolutely loving my time here in Florida. Can't wait until I head back down here next month for Christmas! :)

Ann...Wow..That's a lot of sickness!! I hope you're all on the mend now and will be better very soon!! Sounds like what Suzan has been having. Gosh, I sure hope no one else around the Sandbox gets sick..including me!! No time for that stuff!! I'm gonna bug the heck out of my husband to wash hands extra when we're out and about town as some friends here are sick too!! Darn stuff is going around!! DH is not good at hand washing unless I "remind" him!! I'm feeling an obsessive attack coming on!! Oh, DH is not gonna like this..lol!

Well, glad Thanksgiving was good and your weekend was good even though you were all sick!! Nice you found some bargains too!! Get well!!

Yes, I know this is late, but it's been a rough weekend. Thanksgiving dinner at C's MIL was nice. Good food, fun conversation, relaxed atmosphere. But the rest of the long weekend didn't go as well.  All of us have colds and fierce coughs, so it sounded like a TB ward around here, lol. We went out shopping on Friday, though. I know, I said I wouldn't, but C and T wanted to take advantage of some specials, so we went out a few hours after the stores opened and avoided the insanity and a lot of the crowds and lines. We were all feeling kind of tired, though, so we went and got some fast food instead of all going out and eating somewhere or fixing something here. None of us ate much, though - a hint of what was to come, I think. Sometime about 11 or so, Colleen got up and was sick in the toilet! She moved to the computer room futon so as not to disturb Riley if she had to get up again, and it turned out she did have to get up and be sick again!  Then Tom got up about 4 or 5 and he was sick! I knew there was a bug going around - Riley had been throwing up on Wednesday and I guess Brian's mom was sick on Friday, but I was surprised how fast it hit. Then on Saturday, shortly before C and I were going to go to the neighbor's grandson's first birthday party, Brian called and asked Colleen if she could come home because he was sick! We put in an appearance at the party, but didn't stay long at all, and then Colleen packed up Riley's things and I drove her home, because Tom was still feeling weak and sick.

Sunday Tom and I just loafed around the house, coughing, lol.

So far I've just got this nagging cough and, although my stomach isn't exactly feeling good, I haven't gotten so sick I had to vomit (knock wood).

But, despite the sickness, we had a nice weekend. Riley was her usual happy self and we did some bargain shopping and had some nice talks about everything and nothing.

Suzan...Forgot to say that when J went back and talked to the servers and bus help to see if we could get those tables put together for our party of 9, that was *very* unusual for him!! He's not one to assert himself that way!! He's more the nice polite guy who steps aside to let others get in front of him. He never wants to do anything that may be wrong or that he'd get "in trouble" for. It's always me who is the assertive one who steps forward and gets things done!! So, when he did that it shocked the heck out of me!! LOL!! When he was quickly walking back there to take charge of the situation, I wondered what the heck he was doing!! My J..My hero!! LOL!!! I gave him deserved praise!! lol! As our group was walking back towards the tables, his DD asked me how we got the tables. I told her how her father asserted himself, etc. Her eyes got big with a big smile as that is out of character for him..lol!! Maybe my pushiness..errr..assertiveness..lol..is rubbing off on him! One can hope anyway!! lol

Hi D, GO J!!!!!! Getting that table for 9 is no easy thing to do! XMAS deco.... haven't done any of that myself, and except for the wreath that I'll make tomarrow I won't do any until the 17th of December. Glad that dd's bf could visit.... As for me: we arrived safely and went out to dinnner with ds/dil, Mike, Coffee Nad dil's parents on Tday. The weahter has been nice so dhand I and diva non dog spent Saturday walking around downtown looking at XMAS decorations , had tea, took his glasses in to be fixed, dropped off his new coat to have the arms shortened , came home exhausted , I took a nap and slept about 2 .5 hrs with diva cuddled right in beside me. Today we went to a real pretty lake and it was nice enough to sit outside and have tea and cake. Very nice day. Dh made dinner when we got home and I did a bit of ironing and will finish off the last 3 shirts on Monday. That's all from me!
