I guess I would be a good grandmother , caring & loving at least, who knows. I will never pressure the kids though, even if it takes the next 5 years... or never.. it's their life and they'll want it or not ...... (some parents really pressure kids, it's amazing. My FIL called after the kids had been married about 8 months or so, and started with "I'm almost 90 and I want to see my great grandchildren real soon, are they having a problem?" I was raging mad and my dh told them to mind their own business. YIKES

You are lucky u can tolerate the generic..I can't....my levels would not "level out" on generic....then I suggested we try the brand name....Dr insists, there is no difference, even tho,,he has had some patients, that were like me.....soooo...when I went on Synthroid..I maintained a acceptable level.

Wow, that is nervy. Then again, at his age he probably is still thinking the new generation does what his did...get married and have a baby within the first year or two. Remember, not too close or earlier than the 9 month anniversary of the newlyweds or people will think they had to get married. ;-)

Of course you'd be a good grandmother Suzan!! Good not to ever pressure the kids to have children, I never did mine either, never mentioned it even once..ever!! I was VERY happy when they did get pregnant though!! lol

It may seem normal for your fil to question when the kids will have children. Years ago, a lot of people were bold about asking such personal questions, it was almost automatic when someone got married. A lot of women would put their hand on a pregnant woman's abdomen, too, to "feel" the baby...Ackkk!!! When I was pg, I backed away fast when someone's hand was coming at my body!! At your fil's age, he knows his days are numbered and he probably wants that experience badly. With his personality, he couldn't (or wouldn't) help himself to not say what he was thinking. Good your husband told them to back off though.
