my whine:   well all my plans for my alone time have gone "bust".  I have a really nasty headcold. (sneezing, sinus ache, sore throat, muscle aches & pains, fatigue.)  Yesterday I slept practically the whole day, just gettin gup to take meds and put Coffee outside.  Then went to bed at 8:30 and didn't get up until 9:30 am , although I had to get up every 1 1/2 hrs to blow the nose and spray and blah blah blah.....     I ran out of nose spray and dog food so had to go to the drugstore, (of course it had snowed all yesterday so I had to shovel the driveway and pathways first... anyway,,, my faith in mankind is restored :   the lady across the street crossed over to say hi and when I told her I'm done with the flu she said: "well, let me give you a hand, you can't be doing all that shoveling when you' re sick".... so we shoveled the car out together.  (she also offered to go get my nosepray for me)  HOW NICE IS THAT???  REALLLLY NICE.    So I think that is my wahoooooo for today then.

That was so nice of your neighbor! I'm sorry to hear you're sick on what is supposed to be your alone time. Alone time isn't so fun when you're sick! That's when you need someone to bring you your medicine and pamper you with chicken soup, a fluffy blanket and the tv remote, lol.  I hope you're feeling better soon.

As for me:

Whines:
Hmm... maybe having to go to the oncologist on Friday. Not that I think he'll have bad news, but just because I'm tired of going to doctors.

I am typing so badly, I have to use the backspace nearly every word! Typing without looking at my hands isn't so impressive sounding when I have to fix countless mistakes.  And speaking of typing w/o looking, why can't I type w/o looking when the light is off? I can't! It's like my hands can't see the keys in the dark, lol!

Whahoos:
It's a beautiful day - or at least for February in Wisconsin it's beautiful. Sunny and 30 degrees, the roads, driveway and sidewalks are clear and dry, and even the snow looks kind of pretty sparkling in the sun.

I'll see Colleen and Riley this weekend!

LOL, I don't need to type in the dark, but sometimes I don't turn on the light and it's a little dark in the room. When it is, I have more trouble typing w/o looking at my hands.  I have no idea why.

Guess I should have put this info here. Copy-pasting it, some of you will have already read it, tweaked it a little....

Thursday..Our romantic VDay plans changed!! DH was feeling odd feelings in his chest, light headedness, wobbly, shortness of breath. I got him right in to see his family doc and after an EKG that was a bit off balance, they sent him via EMS to the ER. After lots and lots of questioning by several people, including the cardiologist, and more testing, they admitted him for the night. In the morning he'll get a treadmill stress test and hopefully the doc can figure out what this is! He did not have a heart attack and his symptoms are puzzling and not following a specific pattern to determine what's wrong.

So, no romantic Valentines dinner for us, we had to eat yucky hospital food instead. Maybe we can do Valentines Day dinner tomorrow night if he's okay. Main thing is that they figure this thing out!! I miss my sweetheart. I don't like being without him. Frown

We did exchange Valentines Day gifts and cards before all this happened though, so VDay wasn't all lost! ♥♥

{{{Donna}}} my thoughts & prayers for dh and you. Hope he had a restful night and it is nothing serious. Glad he said something and went instead of passing it off as nothing.

Sounds like your hospital needs new cooks! Here some people go to the hospital just to eat- the food is good. They also have a great salad bar

HI PAT
Hope you get good news quickly on the job... since it's an in-house placement you'd think it would go quicker.  hmmmm

I haven#t noticed that it's light at 5pm,, will have to watch out today...

Thank you on dh's hospital adventure! He feels good now and we're hoping whatever that was never comes back again! If it does, we'll get right to the doc again.

Pat, hope you get that job call soon!

The  hospital food isn't really awful, but if we wanted to eat out, it would way not be at a hospital!! lol
