When your S/O is not at home for dinner, do you make yourself a full meal or just eat something easy?

I'm wondering what to make for my dinner tonight and am too tired and lazy to really cook a meal. ( i have some leftovers but do NOT want to eat them)

Oh, I'm all about ease of preparation! Thaw some shrimp, put 'em in a bowl, put some shrimp sauce in a little bowl alongside, grab a Diet Coke and it's dinner!!

But I also stock my freezer beforehand

OK so now I just ate elbow macaroni with hot milk on top of it. My mom used to make me that when I was little and when I was sick. It sounds really weird I suppose but I like it,, kind of my go to meal when dh is away. LOL
I brought up a can of tuna for my sandwich tomorrow at lunch, oatmeal for breakfast , and not sure about dinner yet. Wish I had a diet coke in the fridge. That sounds good.

It really depends on my mood.

My dh doesn't go away these days but when he did I used to eat scrambled eggs a lot.

Supermarket delis here now have all kinds of things like curries, pastas, salads etc.

I usually just have something light...like scrambled eggs or a boiled egg..or cereal or oatmeal.

My husband has never not been home for dinner or taking me out for dinner since we got married. If he did, though, I would hope that I had some left overs to heat up. If not, I'd probably make a grilled cheese sandwich and a can of soup...or...eggs & toast...or...french toast...or...macaroni & canned tomatoes & kidney beans...or...a Healthy Choice frozen dinner if I had one on hand.

Suzan..When I wasn't feeling well or sometimes for lunch, my mom used to make a teeny tiny noodle called Pastina and put milk and sugar on it. I loved that stuff!!

He'll be home tonight, so back to cooking full meals. It was nice while it lasted. Actually glad I had the time to "not cook".
