I went off to the grocery store today, gee the stores were crowded. (parking lots also) I'm hoping I do not have to shop again until next Friday (except for bread of course). After getting it all put away and after clipping and putting the pink and apricot color tea roses in water (the mix of color is really pretty in my LR), I started to make dinner. Fresh green beans (in toms, onions, olive oil etc) and a butternut squash soup with fresh thyme. It's a new soup recipe which I hope is good. Sitting on the couch reading a magazine and just playing ball with Coffee. That's it for me.... what are you doing today?

HI Pat,
well I usually use a ripe mango (pureed) in my soup that is really nice. What made this soup good were the carrots I put in it,, made it very sweet..... liked it alot.
As D mentioned there is cleaning and then there is cleaning..... time to get Wayne's manpower behind a mop and bucket of water ;O)
Suzan..When you're out and about alone without the help of your husband and are "excessively swerving around and having that cooked spaghetti feeling", how do you manage to stay upright without using a cane or walker? Sounds very scary!! Glad people are helpful and not just looking at you like you're 'whatever'.
Enjoy your "to each his own" meal, my favorite way to cook!! lol! We'll probably do the same tonight unless I get a sudden unexpected burst of energy.
We slept in this morning, me til around 9:30ish and dh til almost 10:30am!! We had a great time at the wedding and reception yesterday, but having fun sure can be exhausting!! So, today's a wipe out, no church, no going out to eat, nothing except a movie tonight if we can stay awake for it!!
Suzan..Yes hermits!! I tell ya, it's getting harder and harder to get ourselves out the door this winter!! J's even worse than I am. When I mention going somewhere, I get the sigh and the look. Hate winter!! Wish we could have another home along the Gulf where we could just sit and watch the bay until spring!!
No, we haven't seen Salmon fishing in Yemen, but I just added it to our Netflix list. It does look good and like one of our types of movies! Thank you for the tip! We're enjoying all of the Christmas movies we've been watching. Some are better than others of course and if we don't like one early on, we'll turn it off and find a different one. We both pretty much enjoy the same movies. J's on a James Bond kick, though, and I do not want to see old JB movies!! He put four or five of them on our Netflix queue and I moved all of them to the bottom of the list..lol!
Suzan,
Went to mall both Saturday & Sunday ::gasp::
had to return something.
DH made out well I didn't .. oh well :)
Hi Suzan. Yes, we took the tree down and restored the house to normal Saturday morning. Tom had to work, but I took all the ornaments off the tree and put away all the other decor, so all he had to do was take off the lights and take the outside wreath down. Then we had to haul it downstairs or shove it up into the attic.
We didn't get too much snow after all, so we were able to go out to eat. Just to the Moose lodge, but it was nice to get out.
