I went off to the grocery store today, gee the stores were crowded. (parking lots also) I'm hoping I do not have to shop again until next Friday (except for bread of course). After getting it all put away and after clipping and putting the pink and apricot color tea roses in water (the mix of color is really pretty in my LR), I started to make dinner. Fresh green beans (in toms, onions, olive oil etc) and a butternut squash soup with fresh thyme. It's a new soup recipe which I hope is good. Sitting on the couch reading a magazine and just playing ball with Coffee. That's it for me.... what are you doing today?

Ouuu..the grocery store! You are a brave lady! lol! I sent John to the store this morning for a few items. I so appreciated him doing that while I stayed home with the grandkids! Are the aches and pains and leg weakness under better control now? Sure do hope so!!

Your dinner sounds delicious! Let us know what you thought of the soup. I'm only eating veggie soup now with a little bit of legumes in it. Back on the ol' diet thing doncha know. ::sigh::

Today, Friday, I cancelled my nails appointment this morning. They still look good for the weekend and I couldn't make myself get out in the cold air! We have my two youngest grandloves here again. They're fun to have around, but we're looking forward to days of quiet. Tonight is our pro-soccer game that we don't feel like going to either. Are we becoming hermits??
Gosh, I hope not!! We have season tickets and missed the last game, so we really should go to this one. We'll see.
Saturday..We have a family wedding to go to. It'll be a fun time.
Sunday...Sunday school & church and out for Chinese dinner. If we feel like getting out of the house that is!! No other plans..yay!! We're still watching movies most nights too.

I went to the grocery store for a few things, too. It was snowing a little, but not enough to make it hard to drive - for the most part, lol. When I got home I shovelled a little. More like scraped the driveway clear of the little snow that had fallen on it, but it's a big driveway and I was tired by the time I was done. Then I sat in the recliner, had lunch and watched recorded stuff on tv till my back felt better, lol!
Tonight we plan to go out to eat, unless it is snowing hard. If it is, we'll just stay in and have sandwiches and soup. Sometime this weekend we'll take the tree down. I'll probably start it while dh is at work tomorrow morning and we'll finish up whenever he feels like helping me disassemble it and haul it down to the basement.

Suzan ~ sounds like everyone wanted to be at the store before the weekend! I love butternut soup. I have not tried it with thyme - just a bit of nutmeg.
Got to find time to CLEAN house ! EEEKS...the realtor will be coming by one day next week for the photos!!
I worked this morning and now on my way to work at the store. I'll be working all weekend...sigh....the happy side is I am working!
Ann..Hope that snow doesn't amount to anything!! Good to have moisture though. No moisture in the forecase thru well into January. Hate the ice, but we really need rain or snow to come! Oh, well, nothing we can do about it. I'm sure as heck not going to go out there and do a rain dance!! LOL
Hope you did get to go out and eat. We're having soup and sandwiches tonight...me soup..him sandwich & chips. We decided not to go to our pro soccer game tonight, just do not want to get out in that cold!!
I wish someone would take our decorations down for us..lol!
Hugs...Too cold here too!! I've been looking at my FB albums of our honeymoon, our trip to Mazatlan, and our cruise. It's making me nuts because I so want to be back there, but sure do love looking at the ocean and warm beaches!!

Hi Donna, other than in my shoulders and down my arms, I don't have aches and pains,,, (nothing "ausser norm" that ist). I'm just back to excessively swerving around and having that cooked spaghetti feeling, anyway by the 11th I'll have it figured out.... good or bad. I have to say tough that when I'm in the grocery store and swerving around almost knocking down shelving, I get many offers of help from strangers,,,, which restores my faith in people, that most are imminently goodhearted and helpful when needed . ;O)
the dinner was good,,, loved the soup.... will make it again
tonight we're having "to each his/her own". Not sure what I'll have but dh decided on granola which he can make himself. LOL
