Hey everyone, just needed to vent. My BFF decided back in December she no longer wanted to be friends. This is odd as we are both in our early 30's and have been really good friends for over ten years plus. Theirs two sides to every story so here is mine.

Sorry she's being this way, and that I didn't have the full knowledge beforehand or I wouldn't have questioned you in such a way.
I don't know what else you can do, either. But at this point, I'd be questioning whether I wanted to be friends with her anymore at all.
I know you miss the kids. BTDT. I often missed the kids more than I missed the friendship with their parents... :(

It sounds like a miscommunication on both parts.
Forgetting her child was in the hospital for a week might have been the time to kiss a little butt.
You say how busy you were, but I bet she was busier, and far more stressed that you know.
She didn't handle it well, for sure. But you're also at fault here, at least imo.
As far as what to do, I'd let it lie and let her eventually contact you again, since she referred to doing that, and isn't responding to your attempts right now.
