My BFF has been my BFF since high school, we've been out of school 30 years this year.

I think you need to look at what you're getting out of this friendship.

I tend to speak slowly, complete with pregnant pauses, so sometimes people finish my sentence. I usually say, "that's not what I was going to say". If they interrupt me, I say "let me finish" or "excuse me. I was talking." It might take awhile, but hopefully she'll be shamed into changing her ways. You might need to be a little more assertive in general.

Quiet does not mean timid, is my motto.

Two words. Confront her. What she's doing isn't cool.

You have to put her in her place when it happens, unfortunately.

BFF or easy target? Only you can determine that. It's true that sometimes even old friends grow apart, just as friends who have been estranged can reconnect and become very close once again. But there is no excuse for rudeness. And there can be many causes for that...she's bored...becoming self centered...esteem issues ( I think when someone is condescending,

While I agree that you need to say something to her at the time she finishes your sentences and at the time she answers for you, I’m not sure I would give her another chance because of something else you said:

You make a good point. Friendship is a two way street. OP is definitely putting more into this friendship than her "friend" is. No one needs a "friend" like that.
